Eglin AFB area

I am moving to Eglin AFB and was wondering if there are any places to ride around that area.  I have both a dirt bike and an ATV.  I am more into trail riding as opposed to racing around a track.  I heard from someone that you can ride on base, but that has yet to be confirmed.

I believe Eglin is near Destin, right? I just drove through there this weekend and was drooling over all of the trails I saw off 331. But I didn't see anyone riding them. Not sure if it was everyone was at the beach or what but it appears that there's some nice trail riding out there. Looks like there is sand and clay out there! Best of both worlds!
And if all else fails, the Florida Motoplex is only a few hours away and that place rocks!!!
