Hey Dave I know I asked you before about Valdosta being closed and you said it was open. I talked to Wade Murphy at Jasper and he told me it was definetly closed. So whats up. Thanks Randy

I also have heard rumors the track is closed but it is also no secret that Wade and Dale don't get along. I just left a message for Dale so hopefully he will call and give us a date. Dale has a $9000. money race posted on his site for March 28th &29th and I was told he has suspended weekly racing and is just promoting this big money race. If Valdosta is actually closed I can still pursue a race date at the new 1/4 mile track 25 miles north on Valdosta...as of now I can't remember the name of it.

Well some sad news to pass on...Valdosta has indeed closed. I spoke with Dale today and he stated that his lease was up for renewal and his payment was more than the monthly revenue. He also said our bunch was some of the best he had ever dealt with and he thanked us for supporting his track. He also said that in the future if he does open up for any special dates that he would call and let me know. I will now focus on getting a race day at Dixie Kartway in Nashville, Ga. This track is approx 25 miles past Valdosta. As soon as I get more detail I will let everyone know.

Alright here is some news! I talked with Neal at Dixie Kartway in Nashville, Ga.
Here are the details:
*Track is 1/4 mile around the bottom. He said his straightaways are approx 50' longer than Jasper.
*Clay is a red gumbo, black and tacky 3 carts wide.
*We will have our own parking area.
*May 3 would be the earliest possible date so mark it on your calendars as a possible date. I should have a firm date in a few days.
I couldn't find any wide shots of the track on their website but I did Google a few kart videos and was able to see the track a little better. It looks like a real nice facility.
