You will absolutely love it!! They put on one heck of an event and the terrain is up there where things aren't so flat. Lot of fun and the owner is really cool. I won my first trophy there. It was a second place trophy! It was also last place as there was only two of us!! LOL!!

This is the SAME club that is hosting the QS that keeps getting the date changed due to weather conditions. THEY ARE DETERMINED TO HOST THE QS DAMNED THE ODDS AND WILL!! Let's support them!!
They make some of the coolest trophies, too. One year I think it was them, they had these rally cool coiled up rattlesnakes and they looked like real mounts. I wanted one SO bad, but my conditioning was not like it is now and thus I did not earn one. Sad

well my trophy virginity was loss to seminole, but if they have the rattlesnakes i will win one for revenge from you lol. hills wooo as you no brian, the last hill i dealt with beat me with a bat, but i will not let no hill beat me with a bat again.lmao. i dont like how all the quads go to the QS's only come out to HS's same thing basically maybe a jump or too more, if you dont like jumps roll them. i have a feeling that if the quad attendance keeps staying low there will be no quad class in the HS's.

Quad Friendly Club/Hare Scramble

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just to let everyone know that RCDR (River City Dirt Riders) will be handing out plaques 2 deep in every class for QUADS...Also they made sure a QUAD was printed on the tee shirts.. I know at the last HARE scramble neither of this happened and our club board members agreed it would not be like that at our Hare...

so come on up north and get ya sum....hardwear that is...

thanks Brian...you are right on

For anyone who missed it, this was the toughest run ive made. Was well laid out, marked interesting at places where you would be flowing well in a fast section and as you get around the corner a bit to the end was hard turn. Made things real fun, tons of ditches to go in and out of, trail ran across some creeks a few places which made for tons of fun pegged throttle fun for me. Overall you guys missed a hell of a challenge in my opinion. To the guys from the club who put this race on great job.

Yeah, it kinda iritated me that noone showed up. It was a heck of a haul for us to come up there though *7hours of driving* thats the only thing I could think that would deter them unless they were scared of the challenge. The track was grueling as hell, a real sense of acomplishment after finishing that track. Again heck of a job guys.

why do we not have some sort of a points for the quads at hs? seperate from qs? The only reason I even race is because my buddy races bikes on sunday at hs. QS is impossible for me to go to, think its just crappy for the people who only can make it to one of the race series. And I keep hearing at the races that they are trying to fade the quads out of HS weekends completely. Is this seriously going to happen?

Maybe so Brian...high gas prices...It's hurting all of us...Hope they don't think like that for the QUAD scramble in a month....but who knows.....especailly with the 4 races that you are allowed to throw out without even coming to the event...

you and I spoke briefly on this subject at Gatorback.....will see what happens

that seems to be the general consciences...although some say NO!!!....hopefully that true...

these days and times it is hard to go to both quad and hare scrambles...I know I had to pick one or the other...Pinetta or Mayakka...I had been over there the last 3 weeks helping cut in trails as a (RCDR member)and blew out and had to replace ALL 4 trailer tires last weekend to a tune of 450.00 plus the gas expense was another 150.00 so I had to make a chose...so we are in a points battle in the QS series that was our chose..

I know that those of you that missed this peice of property you really missed out...it was fun to cut in and fun to burn in after working all day...

Cosmo and those of you who are new,
the QS series was devised by some who saw a future in a separate series. A series that would offer up racing for pee-wee and youth quad classes. Some of the guys worked up a great plan and worked the system and BAM! the QS series was formed. When you think about it and it's potential, it is a great thing. (Even though I think those same smart guys should have just devised HS schedule that included pee-wee and Youth for 2 and 4 wheel alike.)

First year, nobody (quads) wanted to support it because they thought it was just a way for the quads to be outed from FTR. HOW WRONG THOSE PEOPLE WERE!
Second year they took the points away from the quads in the HS to encourage entries in the points carrying QS series. GUESS WHAT!?? IT WORKED!
That is why there is low numbers at a HS when it comes to quads.
Quads are part of FTR and are not going anywhere. To say any different is a plain lie.
Yes there may need to be some work to make things work with a poor economy and land issues we are seeing.
Just don't worry, you will be racing!!

Thank you for taking the time to clarify that brian. Me going to qs economically can never happen due to the cost to move to them. The only reason I am barely able to afford to race as it is, is because my friend races at the HS Sunday, so its just an extra day spent at the races. If it were to ever get to the point where quads nolonger could race saturday I would be absolutely screwed.

Thanks you all.
Now who's ready for a race??
I do believe this will be the first race for this quad club, CFQR.
Only three races left and the chase for the jacket is very close in most every class!!

same, you gonna bump up to B next year? hopefully i'll be on a 450 by then and wont have to throw around this 400 anymore. Everyone says you dont need power for XC...but you do. Besides if im going to dump a few grand into aftermarket suspension and control, i'd rather it be a 450r instead of a the 400...Oh and if i get behind atvtrailer or vice verca, forget it, 1st and 2nd place right there.  Tongue  aint that right randall!!

thats the plan i ran the upper class at motoplex, i did crappy on the first lap, but after that i started catching the 3 up front. so i can hang with B, my dad says they dont look much faster than me he said some look even slower(not one specific race, generally speaking) but yep i will be in B-Open next year yeaahhh yeaahhh lol Afro

looking forward to the competition.

ya if you look at the lap times there are more than a couple C- riders that would place no worse than mid pack. my goal is to podium every race next season in B-open...well we dont have a podium, but you get what im sayin! Meanwhile, i really want to beat david moore and justin marquad the last few races this year.
