I am attempting to purchase a Garmin 60CSX gps from this internet company and I have several issues with them.

1st.  I put the order in on Thursday night thru their website.  Friday morning at 8 am they call me to verify my address which is strange since I had to verify it 2 times on the websight.  After they verified the address they start in with the hard sale of extra software, batteries, covers and anything else you can think of to go with a gps unit.  He also tells me that the unit won't work with out the xtra software which I know is false because it comes with software.  It did not help that this guy had a New York accent that I could barely understand and when I was done talking to him I felt like you do when you purchase a new car and they try in vain to hit you up with every add on they can.

So I declined all of his sales pitches and tell him I just want what I purchased and nothing else and then I asked him if it was going to ship on that day (Friday) which according to the website the item was in stock and they state that they have same day shipping, he answered he did not know that I would have to check with the shipping dept.

2nd.  I get an email telling me I need to call them to verify some information and they can't ship until I call them.  Well they got ahold of me when they tried to sell me more stuff but they can't call me again to verify some information?

3rd.  Now I get an email that states the item is on backorder and they will let me know when it is in stock.  When I made the purchase thru their website it stated they were in stock ( or I would have ordered from somewhere else), now all of a sudden they are on back order, I wonder if they would have been on backorder if I would have purchased something?

4th.  I purchase items from websites alot and this is by far the worst experience I have had on a internet order.  my opinion of Broadway Photo is that they   S U C K !!!!!

Order has been cancelled, you may read reviews here http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1988.html.  Avoid this seller at all cost

same thing happened to me except for the shipping part when I bought my Canon Rebel,,,,same kind of NYC accent that turned me off and they wanted to sell extra batteries and all sorts of stuff,,,,,I told them I already had everything on order and being shipped to me that they were trying to sell,,,,,they sounded like they didn't know what to do after that ;-)
