All are good to ride so nice to have place to go... Durhamtown went in July was OK place to ride but TOOOOOO many going at full speed everywhere with no regards to others on the trails.  I understand excitement etc have fun but safety counts also.  I would really hate to go there on really busy day...rather I know we're not going back on busy weekends

Alright, kiddies.  Not one of you has seen the issue for what it is.  Let me ask you this question: How many of you ride the quad scrambles or are familiar with one of the most basic rules?  The rule I speak of is maximum width of the quad; 50 inches.  That 50 inch limit doesn't guarantee there will be a 50 inch opening on the course.  This is to make it challenging for those who run XC.  Dirtbikes have been around waaaaaaayyy longer than quads and there are a lot more of them than there are quads (if you don't believe that, check the statistic with FTR where sometimes 2,000 dirtbikes show up for an event versus 150 quads).  How challenging do you think it would be to ride a XC track that is 50 inches wide on a dirtbike?  That is the reason for dirtbike only trails.  The dirtbike XC riders enjoy the challenge of XC riding as much as a quad rider does and Mike is smart enough to know the numbers.  So get off your little soapbox, stop your pathetic whining and appreciate the fact that there are people that are providing excellent riding opportunities for everybody that enjoys off-road sports.

Happy Monday everyone Cheesy

My last post here since I actually dont spend my weekend on the internet.

To me bashing is posting lies or fabrications.

I never bashed D-Town, I posted facts. Some of you didnt like the facts & it somehow turned into "green bashing d-town hijack". Maybe I am wrong in my view of what bashing is, who knows. I was clear more than once that I will go to D-Town one day & I am sure I will enjoy it.
However, the things I posted are facts.
When some of you guys get a chance, spend a little time on Georgia Offroad.com, that is where I saw the cut & pasted email from Mike about quads. It was in their forum just like the one cut & pasted by canamgator.
Now lets get back to quad talk & be friends Grin

I figured this is where you got your info???

Happy Monday everyone Cheesy

spend a little time on Georgia Offroad.com, that is where I saw the cut & pasted email from Mike about quads.

here's another cut and paste for ya!  Wink "Taken from Ga. Off Road"

we do have strict rules here at dp and we do enforce them for the safety of all we have evicted over 200 who also like to do most of the talking on the forums....
This is where your factual information is coming from by the way!!! Wink

Dp has always been atv friendly just not to those who abuse it
and they have bashed DP on many forums across the nation
During all of the Bashing 4 different publications and tv shows came here to do a personal interview/ investigation also several other future atv riding parks came here to check it out some continued some stopped all plans

what they all found is DP is approx 50% atvs and 50% bikes average 700-1400/week more on holidays we have made some major investments to keep our trails maintained and hired more employees to keep them up we have added 3 new trails in the past 10 days more will be added over the next few weeks

DP is a family oriented facility not just for mudders all have to ride

we built new trails for the families and yes we left the rutted out trails for the mudders and we welcome them in the proper places not on trashing the family trails we even have the largest inventory of atv tires sport and utility in the southeast and a new tire center

we just completed today a 50% track rebuild on the atv mx track and will re do the other 50% after the 4th weekend maybe before

if you are from florida try posting on some of the local forums asking people who have been here what their opinions are

in the last 2 weeks 4 clubs of the FTR have had their yearly vacations to DP the largest one is coming july 4 weekend over 300 FTR guys in 3 weeks atvs and bikes

if it was as bad as you may think it is the publications should be writing about the terrible place we were

10% make 90% of the waves

best way to make your own opinion is to come visit and if you are not pleased in the 1st 24 hours I will refund your ride fees

thanks mike DP owner

Now lets get back to quad talk & be friends  Kiss  AGREED

No thanks,
I will spend my money in Florida & at the motoplex. If everyone keeps going out of state to ride then we will never have more great places like the Plex in Florida. D-town does have some great things, but a few months ago the owner put out an email blasting quadriders. I am sure he had his reasons.
Also heard a story where a guy (on here) crashed bad & was stuck in the trees & the D-town guy said he would have to pay $20 to get a tow back to his camp. From what i was told he had just arrived for his trip & within hours his quad was useless. He paid all fees up front & they wanted $20 to tow him from the track to his camp site? Huh
I am sure you all will have a blast there & one day i may go there as well as Carolina Adventure world but for now its the Plex for me. If the plex gets more & more support, it will grow to be the size of D-Town one day. However I am looking forward to one day going to Glamis!!!

Can someone please show me in the above post where Greenmachine bashed DP. I see where he said "no thanks" to the trail renovations but that was not a bash. I see where he stated that he would rather spend his money in a florida owned park to help it grow. I see where he made a statement about the owner bashing quad riders which was proven by Can-AmGator in the email to Mike. I see where he stated about the $20 tow bill required by DP which is a fact........just call DP and ask! I see where he stated that you will have a good time there and that he will visit one day him self but for now he will support the MotoPlex.
NO WHERE DID HE BASH DURHAMTOWN.

i MYSELF have been to Durhamtown 6 times. I had some great times there,Thanks Mike. But right now we have the opportunity to support the Motoplex and help it grow. If the support rolls in the plex will soon have cabins, rv hookups, real bathrooms and much more.Even a more southern location once it starts supporting itself. Remember that we are 7 months new. I will ask you, Can AmGator, to enjoy your vacation at Durhamtown and when you get the chance will you please bring the family out to one of our Feature Weekends.

Has anyone seen the new show on CMT "Gone Country".
Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister is on there. What a clown.
On the next episode, Bobby Brown looks like he is gonna puch Dee in the mouth on stage. I hope he does!

Durhamtown rocks!!

Motoplex rocks!!

Hatfield & McCoy rocks!!

There's less & less land available for us to ride.  So!....ANY place you can go ride your ATV, UTV, Motorcycle....ROCKS!

No place is perfect!  If there's a concern/issue...go to the peeps' in charge and let them know.  Chances are they will try to better the situation.

'Nuff said!   Grin
