well i live around fort lauderdale and we dont have a half day. my teacher just email me and told me if the winds are more than 30 mph then theres no school

I would imagine if there was any chance of it hitting Florida, or maybe at least Florida in the "cone of error" then they would talk about closing school, but with it being WELL to the east all schools will be open.
