I always wear my helmet when doing it.

i dont see a need for a helmet when i do that. i dont think its gonna keep my head attached to me. i catch everything you could want. lol j/k but my friend when he was in the navy did. they used to throw grenades overboard and catch em. i actually know a few people that have done it. they say it works great.
