hey i have a  96 yamaha warrior and its leaking oil. are there any common places that leak on these motors?because my brother is a mechanic and he's going to help me fix up my quad. first off we need to fix the oil leak. im guessing that some of the gaskets are blown but i also want to know if there are any common places that leak. all the help would be appretiated.

1. Oil filter cover.
2. Drain plug.
3. Shift shaft seal.
4. Cylinder base gasket.
5. Case cracked behind front sprocket.

so if it is a cracked crank case how much would that be to fix?im not sure what it is at this point but im pretty much only worried about a possible crack.

You can often find a complete motor on ebay for less than the cases and labor. I'm not sure of the labor rate in your area but around here it will set you back about $900.00 p&l.
