I never been to Eastern Kentucky but did got to the Land Between the Lakes last year and had a great time.  Lots of open trails, fast runs. Really rocky hills and some of them were very loose, made for some shakey climbing and descending.

Rode on Thurs & Fri and rented a boat for Saturday and went on the lake.  About 12 hours drive from Tampa.

Awesome! We were in LBL about 2 years ago, was a great time...and the campgrounds rock!!! But the water pressure in the showers need to be turned down...was lmao cuz Bill said it felt like he was getting bead blasted!
May be up for a trip next year, will have new unplanned vacation time then.....let us know........
