You know I just saw the pictures again, and surprised really that I haven't seen anything about it on this site, so I hope you don't mind (Bleedsblue) but I am going to tell apart of your story......

Last weekend while Bleedsblue (as he is known on this site), was up camping on his property, and a fire had started right near his camp while he and his friends were riding.  He saw the smoke, and knew it was close to his camp, so he drove back to find that not only was his camp in flames, but his beautiful Ford Truck was totally burnt to the ground.  His camper trailer was partially burnt, and his friend trailer was totally burnt to the ground.  He lost a lot that day, and like I said, every time I see the pictures it breaks my heart.  I have personally met him, and a few of you know him too, he is a really great guy, and just to have something like this happen is just tragic.

So if you all can, since he is one of our own, keep him in your prayers and thoughts.  Also lets pray the insurance company don't screw him over, you know how that can be when it's time for them to pay a claim.  I personally don't have the photo's to post, perhaps he will see this post and post them himself.

But I just thought you all should know.  I just couldn't imagine of losing your camp that you worked so hard and long for, then to top it off you lose your only source of transportation.  I when I say this truck was sweat, it was real sweat.  Keep him in your thoughts & prayers, thanks....

That really sucks. I saw some of the pictures. Hopefully, fire season is over and all we have to worry about is little ole hurricanes.

My heart sank when I saw the pics of his truck and heard what happened.  I was hoping it was a joke.  I wouldn't wish that kind of damage and loss on my worst enemy.  Those of us that have built camps like bleedsblue, know the sweat, labor, and money that go into building a nice getaway.  I wish you the best w/ your insurance recovery and hope that you get your camp rebuilt soon.

I know when I woke up Sunday, and saw those pic's and saw that it was him, I almost cried.  I just could not believe it.  I mean you are out there trying to relax and enjoy yourself, and this is what you come back to.  Oh my gosh, I think I would of lost it.  Terrible thing.

That must have to be one of the worst feelings in the world.  I cant even imagine how much he is loosing, not even being able to comprehend it.  The feeling of seeing smoke at your camp, and knowing that your brand new 60k truck is there?  I would have a heartattack.

Ya when i seen those pics. I thought of all the places for it to happen it happened were there was a bad azz truck parked.

FWIW, anybody that buy's a brand new car should really consider GAP insurance for at least the 1st yr. or 2.

Sorry about your camp, but glad it was just your camp & not your house.

...and yes it is one of the worst feelings in the world.

Aside from leading the insurance people/towing company out there in the next week or so it will be a while before any of us get back out there to start the rebuilding/relocating process. I have to wait on insurance, buy a new truck, lift it before I can even think about going back out there on a regular basis to start looking at our options.

I'm wondering, have you determined the cause of the fire?

General concenus is that it was a cigarette tossed in the bushes not far from camp.

Man I'd love to shove a pack down his/her throat if that was the case, I don't smoke cigarette's(dad died of lung cancer at 32)
But anybody w/ 1/2 a brain would know better ESPECIALLY after the fires we been having, if I was to even see someone throw out a cig. i would have to tell them somethin or maybe put it out on there forehead.

Sorry again about your camp & truck, just be glad you or your family wasn't hurt, everything else is replaceable.

Ouch. I can say I've been pretty scared to even have one out in the swamp lately. Flicking one in to the woods would certainly be crazy.

Sorry for your loss, thankfully no one was sleeping inside.
