A group of my friends are wanting to plan a trip to Big Scrub soon and was wondering where to stay.  We are thinking of a hotel some what close by.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info..

My suggestion, if you want a hotel is either stay near I95 or in Silver Springs at the Holiday Inn.  In either case, I would recommend you riding the new trail system on the north end of the forest.  If you want to camp, either Big Scrub itself of Lake Delancy West on the Trail System

Is it better off of I-95 or I-75?  I haven't been to big scrub yet so I am not sure if it is on the east or west side of ONF.

It is in the South, about in the middle.  I would get off I 95 at Exit 249 (hwy 44) and come west to Deland.  You might find a hotel there.  Then continue west across the St John's River on 44 and turn right on Hwy 42.  Go east to hwy 19 then north to FR 573, take that west to Big Scrub
