Anyone know what the current deal is on riding out there if you have a REGISTERED ATV?

and NOT a property owner?

It is illegal to ride out there period. Even if you have a registered atv. Some people just ride anyways till they get caught.

I guess that would mean that Okeechobee county OPTED out??

Otherwise, there are no POSTED speed limit signs which SHOULD equate to residential speed limits & unless the county opted out it would be LEGAL to ride the roads.  We were told (in January) that you are NOT allowed to park your truck on the side of any dirt road.  IT'S ILLEGAL.  If you park it on someone's lot, it's trespassing.........   


Oh well, what do the local residents do there???  I can't believe that NONE of them are NOT riding around.....

Local should be the key.They paid for the land or home and they should have right to peaceful enjoyment.

If they ride to see a neighbor or hunt it should not effect them. It seems like last time I was invited out there in December it was covered with TRASH. I saw allot of people camped out on roads,piles beer cans,drink containers,etc all over.No respect for the land or others property from MOST not all of the day riders.Ive even been told that Okeechobee SO has a task force that is targetting this area & impounding bikes for tresspass and ticketing heavily for all sorts of offenses.

Face it if folks starting to converge on your area & leave trash everywhere theres just so much a homeowner/landowner will take before it gets shut down to outsiders.

These riders are Ruining it for themselves and everyone else,live for the day not worry about the ramifications.......SAD

Yes the County did "OPT OUT" and there is STILL NO RIDING out there.
There are Undercover Cops out there that will impound your bikes and Vehicles/trailers.
NO WARNINGS ISSUED!
