I have a friend who bought a dirt bike in 1996 and can not find his proof in ownership. and I was reading up on the titleing of bikes and I have come to a conclusion that I can't tell if you need a green sticker on a bike before 2002. anyone knows please let me know because I was planing on going to croom or lake delancy this weekend...

you can still go and get a sticker just as long as you have the vin # and your i.d
also if you can come up with abill of sale you can go to the dmv and they can process a title for you.
