Just thought someone would get a good laugh from this...

Few weeks ago hubby & I decide to take our motorhome camping, but last minute find out we can't, has roof leak.  Of course total pist, but oh know, I go out but all this stuff to fix the motorhome and get her all dialed in so we can up on Thanksgiving Weekend.  Decided we where going to retire her on our property.....

So I get up Friday, 4 am!!!!  Make sure all is good, got everything loaded up, and off we go..... Oh life is good, oh we so happy.  On the road, following hubby w/truck & trailer.  Look down, say to myself, awe, almost there, perhaps another hour, tops.  Then I see this fine mist of rain on my windshield, and say to myself, well I don't see any rain.  About the time I get nextel, I see motorhome make a mad dash for the side of the road.  Still trying to figure out what the hell is going on, walk up to motorhome and see friggin smoke everywhere. Now I know what the water was, water.... Yea, water, from the raditor...  Joy, this is going to be fun.  Well, fortunately we have the trailer w/us that has a 30 gal water tank, fill her up and pray for the best.  Yea, we're a going, we're a going, 14 mile, over heats again.  Make a long story short, we did about 17 miles in say 6 hours and finally give up.

We are about 60 miles from destination, and decide this aint working.  Call Kaufs towing and $520 later, about 7 @night get to our destination.  Man you should of seen the guy from Kaufs when we had him go down about 3 miles of dirt road in the middle of no where.... Yea, he was lovin it.....

Oh it gets better...Now the people that have been waiting all day for us (help us to get motorhome another say 3 miles of some serious off roading to our camp.  So we tell him, we'll start this adventure Sat morning.  Now here you have, not only a 30 foot motorhome, trying to go where most dont venture, with (what we now figured out to be a blown head gasket). Let's just say it was one long weekend.

The moral of the story... What can go wrong, will!!! But patience, and perserverance, and some really great friends (and let's not forget the beer) YOU CAN DO ANYTHING....

Yes, we did get her out there, and man my husband can drive. I can't believe the stuff he drove it through to get there, especially that we had to stop like every 10 minutes to let her cool down.  Oh did I tell you, I twisted the hell out of my ankle while stepping out the motorhome.....

Looking back now, too funny, when it was happening, especially the I-95 deal, not funny.  Breaking down in the woods wasn't so bad, atleast your in the woods. Got ATV, Got Beer, Got some really great friends....
