Hey all   just wanted to post a pic of an old friend i parted with back in 98. Ive been riding since the early 80s and have been hooked ever since i took that ride on a 185s back at the PIT. (the real PIT not that excuse for a mudhole thats there now). I havent ridden in about 10 years exept a quick blast up and down the street on a friends Honda 450R. I liked it but it just wasnt the same. Theres just no sound like a nicely tuned 2 stroke flowing thriugh a CT pipe!!! Anyone ever get there hands on one of those service honda cr 250r powered 400ex's??? that would be interesting. I really like the lt 450r but am waiting for honda to show up with another " third times a charm" and one up everyone like they did in 1989. Seen the sports Birth, Death, and rebirth which is growing quite strongly. Its nice to see factory riders again. Weve come along way since Marty Hart and Jimmy White battled it out here in Miami on factory backed three wheelers!!!!! Well heres my old bike. She had all the goodies:Cool head Rebuilt bottom end including cases with all factory parts.( Thanks Robert from Gables Honda. He split my cases for me twice within a two month period. Case savers are a good investment ;o) )Ohlins shocks,Wiseco, CTpipe, Rad valve, Renthal etc...    Thanks for your time and ride safe.

Awesome bike .
Are  you refering to the old 8 street pit ? If so I can relate , that was a large area  to ride and a lot of good times where had there.  In the 1980's used to ride my old atc 110 with ditch witch tires all over that place .
All thats left  as a reminder of the good old days are  the  large australian pine trees which  served as a land mark  . On a good weekend you'd get over 100 vehicles out there , good times indeed.

Reminicing a bit , I remember a Dean Sundahl as one of the top atc racers of the day .The sport's come a long way .

welcome,,,,,and keep an eye out, plenty of Rs out there for sale.

I know you like the sound of a two-stroke,,,but I like the wet farting sound my 400EX makes,,,,,and I still remember the wet fart sound my LT230 Quadsport made with Trail Claw II tires on the rear and a Cobra Jet exhaust way back in the late 90's  Embarrassed

Ahhh   the King of the Desert. those were awesome days back then and yeah   those large pines with the big ford and chevys with the reel flag parked beneath next to the rusty old 50 gallon drum     hmmmm. Wish it was still there     you had the mud for the boggers and the nice black loamy dirt trails with the big berms that would just twist for miles through open grass then into these tight little oasis type forrest and then back out to a lake or a big circle track in the middle of nowhere. those were the days. First bike was an old trx 125    1985.
