                      Banshee                                    YFZ450
                                 *Comfortable                                *Easier To Maintain
                                                                                   *Easier Mods

-YFZ450 is a better all around bike that won't give you the headaches of a Banshee and is faster than the shee out of the box

-Banshee is "Rip Your Arms Off" fast with the right mods....

i was unsure of the yfz because i sat on one when they first came out and i've only seen one in person running and it seemed crazy fast, and i know my blaster is very "jawing" in the suspenison when riding any trail, meaning it just bounces me around on any kind of "rough trail" and when i sat on the yfz i thought the seat was extremely skinny, and i was wondering because my dads friend has a banshee that he is unsure of keeping since the last time it threw him off of it and my dad was talking about buying it from him anf i just love the look of the yfz and that 4 stroke sound, i've out grown my lil blaster and would def like a new quad, preferablly something fast sayin how i also ride a 01' bombardier ds 650 which is plenty fast

What type of riding do you do? Are you an MXer or more into trails and open areas?

If you want something for MX and rough riding you want to go with the 450.

If you want to go fast in a straight line like for Sand Drags go with the Banshee.

The suspension on the 450 is way better than on the Banshee.

But any real racer will tell you.....

Get a HONDA 450r.

Unless you are mainly going to be drag racing, riding dunes or any other activity that doesn't require a lot of turning, I wouldn't get a Banshee.

I hear the Raptor is a good trail bike if you're dead set on Yamaha.

You might also want to check out the new Kawasaki 450...to me it seems like a cross between a trail bike and an MX bike.

Good Luck

He is right. The Raptor will make a great trail bike and since its a fuel injected 700..... Anyway, if its still yfz or shee then stick with the 450. There both fast but in different ways. Now im talking out of the box here. Anyway the shee has a 20 year old motor and suspension but thats not to say its a great powerplant. I mean how can you arugue with a twin 2 stroke. But you have to ride it like you mean it. The clutch is hard to work and it has to stay high up in the revs and it just basically demands a full on rider. The yfz is tame compared to the shee. Its got modern suspension and all that and its a power house. The yfz is not comfortable but it actually is compared to the shee. The aftermarket is kinda a toss up. There are special companies like trinity racing and places like that that will take your quad and do whatever you can afford to it and mods will go allot further with the shee. But there is almost everything for the yfz too. So if you want an all around performer then go with the yfz. Also the yfz will be allot easier to mantain because its a 4 stroke and is not 20 years old. So if its trails then definetly the yfz or rappy. But if you want scarry fast in the straight line and almost unlimited modification then the shee. Hope all of this helps.... Lecture
