   OK..we are thinking of purchasing a Big Bear 400 2 x 4 an '04 model..........any knowledge of this model, pro or con ...thanks......

I know that its 400cc and that it is 2 wheel drive Wink
  It a Yamaha, it will be fine for a trail bike and reliable.

I got the 4x4 model 2003 and it's a great bike. By the way I hardly ever use the 4x4, so you should be ok unless you get into some real deep mud
