Everytime I think I have my mind made up, I change it. I guess I will have to tell you my life story for you to be able to truly help me.
I used to MX, and TT from the years of 1986-1993 on all kinds of different quads from modded 250x 4 strokes (when they first came out) to 250r honda, Blaster, and Quadracer 250.
I am a small guy at 150lbs and I do personally put a premium on handling. I also like a light quad as I realize that my body weight and its ratio to the quads weight is very important to handling.
The honda 250r was the best quad all around I have ever had, but the drawbacks to buying one are obvious, possible lack of parts in the future, most don't have paperwork etc..
I had my mind set on a banshee either new or barely used but the weight has been a concern, and what is really turning me off is atv magazine that says "we will miss the motor, but not the stone age suspension."
There are alot of really impressive looking new four strokes on the market that fit my bill perfectly such as the YFZ450 (Hadn't thought about a quad in years, went to Yamaha with a friend and saw a new Bill Balance edition, and it rekindled my love for atv's single handedly) The Honda 450r, and of course the new Suzuki everyone is raving about. Only problem is, I have never ridden a four stroke that has truly satisfied me power-wise. They say the new ones are really awesome, but I would hate to be disappointed. I am 33 years old and want to ride mostly ONF and Croom, but will frequent the pits, and jumps, along with fast as I can go trail riding. I know this has been really long winded, but I just wanna make the right decision and who better to ask than all of you who have had their finger on the pulse of ATV riding.   Thank you in advance for your replies!!!

yfz, the ltrs are cool but id think the fuel injection would have some probs the first year in production, i dont think yfz450 would disapoint you pwer wise, thats probly the fastest 4 stroke around, and the 4 stroke quads have much better suspension than the old 2 strokes

You wont be disapointed with any of the 450s. I have a YFZ and it is awsome. They blow away ALL the old school bikes. Where do you live? I'd let you try mine out.

I am just north of Ocala and actually would love the opportunity to at least run one up through the gears before I bought one. The YFZ is a very impressive looking unit. I really appreciate the replies so far...
