I too was 8 years old, I was in Mrs. Thompson's 2nd Grade Class. I remember another Teacher running over to our class and telling Mrs. Thompson something. She started crying. She told us what happened, and we watched the aftermath on TV.
Its funny how you can remember details of events like that. Ask me what i ate yesterday and I couldnt tell you. But I remember that and 9/11 down to a tee.

Well was out riding this past weekend and ran into some problems with the 4x4. I just wanted to get some opinions b4 I take it in to be fixed.
Here's the run down. My battery went dead. It is a brand new battery that was charged before I rode. I was able to pull start my quad and run it, it didnt stall and ran just fine. I didnt have any head lights or instrament panel. I had no lights but the spark plug was still firing. The fan for my radiator would not run, I could hear it get weaker and weaker as the battery died, untill it stopped all together. Safe to say I had temp problems.
I have a couple ideas of what the problem is but just wanna see if anyone has better insight.

Jesse Hardy finaly gave in, I say good for him, at least he got some money out of the State. This now allows the state to start on the Restoration.
Everglades holdout agrees to millions for homestead
Associated Press Posted April 13 2005, 11:21 AM EDT
A man who fought for years to keep his swampy home in the rural Everglades settled for $4.95 million with the state, which plans to restore the wetlands area.
The deal, approved Wednesday morning by a Collier County circuit judge, allows Jesse Hardy to remain on his 160 acres until Nov. 30. The former Navy SEAL lives in a clapboard home he built, hidden behind dirt roads about 40 miles east of downtown Naples, with a 9-year-old boy he considers his son and the boy's mother.
Hardy scraped up $60,000 to buy the land in 1976 and rejected offers to sell the land to the state for years, even as offers multiplied to $4.5 million last summer. Hardy said he wanted to hold onto a dying rural lifestyle and pass it on to his son. He did not immediately return a phone message Wednesday morning.
State officials say the land is crucial to the $8.4 billion Everglades Restoration project, which will fill in canals and tear apart roads that carved up the fragile ecosystem decades ago.
Construction at the property will begin in mid-2006, said Ernie Barnett, the state Department of Environmental Protection's director of ecosystem projects.

Well out at holeylands this weekend my 4 wheel drive took a dump. A 700 pound 2-wheel drive quad dont do too well in the mud. After screaming and yelling, and wondering how much this was gunna cost me, I tried to start my quad. The battery was dead.
Well after I jumped my quad, my buddy just happened to have ATV jumper cables which was very cool, my instrument panel didnt work, and neither did the 4-wheel drive. I was wondering if the battery was the problem. Does anyone have an opinion, or any experiance? Im getting a new battery tomarrow, gunna see if it fixes it.

I run my tires at a high psi. I got 28" Highlifter outlaws and run them somewhere around 10. The suggested psi for my tires is something like 6.

At 16 I was 5'10" 210-220 pounds. I dont think a 90cc would do anything for me. [smiley=laugh.gif] These lawmakers have no idea what they are talking about. [smiley=stooges.gif] I think they should be required to go on a ride with people from this site before any bill would be considered.

Buddy of mine has the Wolverine. Its a good quad. He weighs almost 300 pounds and it pulls hm through the mud just fine. Its also a pretty quick quad. As far as reliability, his Wolverine has been sunk in a canal and we got it back working just fine.

First, I don't just post things that are negative. I post the truth. The man flat out admitted he was riding on someone's property without permission. It does not matter how long it has been vacant, where it is located, what is around it, whether or not there are signs saying "keep out" or how long its been since the owners set foot on the property. It does not belong to you and by riding on it you are trespassing. End of story.
If you do not own the property you ride on, you are trespassing. If you don't have a place to ride, then why are you buying the bike? Pretty simple when you think about it. Actually, to be considered Tresspassing there has to be a sign or you have to be told verbally. Just pointing out facts and truthful observations.

They make the wires yellow and blue to make it simple. The wires from the battery to the controller are black and red, from the winch to the contoller blue and yellow. So us slow people dont screw it up. [smiley=EvilSmile.gif] We just wrapped them in electrical tape, so you dont see them through the frame.
I paid something like 25 from Dennis Kirk, but make sure they send you the right ones, I had to saw off a little black tab with the hack saw to make one of em fit.

From your last thread about this: 'In Pines, take it to Tires Plus on Pines Blvd its 9870 Pines Blvd. Its right by a Tire Kingdom. When my tire popped off the rim, I took it there and they did it for free in like 5 mins, I just shot the guy who did it 10 bucks and it was done.'
Try em, they are good people.
