2009 Polaris RZR 800 - $8600 obo. I have a 2009 Polaris RZR 800 in great condition. 1800 miles, 160 hours. Very clean, tires have about 50% life in rear, 75% up front. All fluids changed at 50hours increments or yearly, which ever comes first. This machine has the Rancho +6 long travel suspension, BTI Performance cyclone filter, 14" ITP SS 212 w/ ITP 26" Terra Cross R/T, RZR-S roll cage, canvas targa top, aftermarket glovebox, RZR between the seat storage bag, (not shown) RZR lock n ride storage box and lock n ride light bar. Best offroad machine I've ever had. No time to use anymore. Last few years I've just been riding around my community with it. It needs someone to take it out and stretch its legs again. If you're really interested in purchasing bring a trailer. At 68" wide, this thing's not fitting in a bed of a truck. No trades. Title in hand.

They are also not for everyone. They are missing a few things. One is two more tires. The other is an automatic. There is a high percentage of ATV and UTV riders that can't use a clutch with gears and a good percentage that couldn't ride two wheels on a road let alone off road.
You saw the same thing with jet skis. When I started riding skis the only thing out was the stand-up skis and that wetbike that honda had. They weren't the easiest thing to ride for everyone. Then Yamaha came out with their waverunner. They could hold more weight, you sit down, easier to balance, and can hold more than one person. Now everybody makes them and the stand-up ski isn't that popular... The same thing with 4-wheelers. They used to be mostly small sport bikes. Now the more popular recreational bikes seem to be big, automatic UTVs.

Take over ATVing? No... Become more popular? Yes Dual Sport Bikes are nothing new. They've been around longer than 3 wheelers. With the options they have today, racing, advertisement, they are getting more press than ever. Add the running out of places to ride ATVs... Yes, there is a growing market but not the only way to ride. Maybe the only way to ride in Florida..? Hmmm...

I had the same bike and the same thing happen to me... It's the Woodruff key on the flywheel. It has sheared off and now your timing is off. It's a cheap part and pretty easy to fix. The biggest problem was getting a flywheel holder to hold the flywheel to tighten everything back up.

Yep... We just lost a place in Lehigh a couple of months ago for the same thing. People trashed it, drinking, fights. Now it's no more...
Keep safe and clean up.

Please have an adult read this to you. What an uneducated, fat piece of sh*t... Do you even read or listen to anything before you post your ignorant rants? I'm not the one going to the cops asking them to make arrest... I'm also not the one going to my county representatives to have these places shut down... I'm not going to the media to complain over loud, obnoxious, inconsiderate, drunks and asking why authorities are not doing anything to stop them... However, I am one of the smart ones on here that understand why they are being shut down. One day when you grow up you too will see. …grow up and ride where ever u want and have fun thats what its about having fun....
That’s kind of hard when you have cops at the places that you usually have fun at telling you that you have to leave because of all the complaints we have in the area. Here is your warning ticket, if you show up again we will arrest you. Stay in school, kids... F'in inbred...

General / Open Discussion / Two Minutes to Help Free Up 43 Million Acres of Public Land
|
on: April 08, 2011, 03:23:39 PM

I found this on the rzr forum and thought I would pass it along. Just two minutes of your time. Contact your Representative today! Representative and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) along with Representative Rob Bishop (R-UT), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands and Representative Steve Pearce (R-NM), Chairman of the Congressional Western Caucus plan to introduce the Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act of 2011 shortly. This bill would remove restrictions to motorized access on more than 40 million acres of public land nationwide. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and All-Terrain Vehicle Association (ATVA) support this bill and applaud McCarthy, Bishop and Pearce for helping every American achieve greater access to our public lands. On April 5, 2011, the AMA and ATVA sent McCarthy a letter of support for this bill. The Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act would remove the riding ban on 6.7 million acres managed by the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and riding restrictions that may be in place for 36.1 million acres of U.S. Forest Service (USFS) land. Go to the following link, fill in your zip code at the bottom and it site will automatically write out an email to your Representative: American Motorcyclist AssociationPlease give this thread a “BUMP” after you send your letter

Was this a legal place to ride to begin with? If not, it's hard to be upset over someone stopping people from trespassing.
I hate that we're losing places to ride. And, I agree that often times, we're our own worst enemies. However, acting as if we're owed a place to ride, even illegally, doesn't help things.
Trespassing isn't the issue here as much as it's people being a nuisance. If it weren't for the late night noise and illigal activity then most wouldn't have a problem. It's really isn't any different than the loud music playing at night clubs and outside malls late at night. Neighbors or neighborhoods don't have a problem with 'em being there just as long as they keep it down and to themselves at decent hours of the day. Just like in Bonita the riding area is off the road and out of sight and the neighborhoods around really don't know ATVers are even out there until you have some jackasses doing wheelies or racing there ATVs down the main street. Then the complants and then the crackdowns. It's the jackasses that ride at late hours, drunk, stealing and burning cars, loud aftermarket pipes, fighting, shooting, wearing no protection, getting unnessary injuries, costing tax payers, driving through peoples lawns to get to riding areas that people wouldn't care a rat's ass about if it weren't for all the negative attention that these idiots are attracting to themselves. I might not be the problem but according to this report there are 100s in the cape that are. I know that I'm not owed anything but I sure as hell can be pissed off when the punks ruin it for the honorable people and their families.

We in Southwest Florida are trying to keep the little places that we do ride right now from being taken away from us and here is one that has the neighbors complaining about all night noise from the ATVers and trucks. And then to top it all off the media finds what must be one of the most inconsiderate jackasses to interview... As soon as they take this place from these a-holes they'll just move around till they get every place banned... http://www.nbc-2.com/story/14397650/2011/04/06/noisy-atvs-have-cape-neighbors-demanding-changeI always thought it was just a view bad apples ruining it for all of us but it looks like there is about 100 of them f$^^in' it up for everyone... Does this type of crap happen all over Florida? All over this Nations? or is it just here? Unbelievable...

When I had my ATV and was riding the trails of the Sierras my friend had a RZR and that sucker was pretty fast and I could hardly stay up with him. I figure if I ever get another ATV the RZR would be seriously looked at but I thought the motor set pretty low and am not sure how they are in the mud/water, hence the question.
Like anything, if you snorkel them right they'll go through all the water/mud you have.
There are plenty more showing 'em in mud. I hurt my back on my Raptor and got the RZR. I like it. Fills in nicely where the Raptor left off.

I'm one of the few that take it in very little mud. I came from a sport bike and I ride this like a sportbike, reason for upgrading to long travel suspension. It's nice to have the 4wd when you do get into some mud on the trails though. The story is I took the plastics off and tried to vinyl wrap them with a M500 vinyl wrapping used for automotives. However that wrap doesn't stick to anything that has any kind of ridge detail. The rear panels came out so-so and the front was just a disaster. I then put the rear panels out in the sun and it's just pulling away from any indentation that's in the plastics. It's now even lifting out of the checkmark indentation in the center of the fender. It just looks pretty crappy... To prep for the vinyl I pulled all the stickers off and sanded them to get out any deep scratches that might show through so now I can't even put it back into the condition I started with. Now I'm looking at Hydrodipping. I think that might hold up better in the woods than paint..?
