It's been a while, but the last time a group of us were out there on SxSs we all got our written no trespassing warning from LCSO. They said they were getting a lot of noise complaints from the gated communities across the street.
Good luck.

All-terrain vehicles (ATVs), recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs), and off-highway motorcycles (OHMs) are the only unlicensed motor vehicles allowed in designated OHV areas.
The law defines an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) as any motorized off-highway vehicle: •50 inches or less in width •Having a dry weight of 1,200 pounds or less •Designed to travel on three or more low-pressure tires
PHOTO: OHV riders at Croom Motorcycle Area. An off-highway motorcycle (OHM) is defined by law as any motor vehicle: •Used off the roads or highways of this state •Having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider •Designed to travel with not more than two wheels in contact with the ground, but excludes a tractor or a moped
A recreational off-highway vehicle (ROV) is defined by law as any motorized recreational off-highway vehicle: •65 inches or less in width •Having a dry weight of 2,000 lbs or less •Designed to travel on four or more non-highway tires •Manufactured for recreational use by one or more persons
The term ROV does not include a golf cart as defined in 320.01 and 316.003 or a low-speed vehicle as defined in 320.01.
NOTE: ROVs (or anything wider than 50” or heavier than 1,200 pounds) are not permitted at the Withlacoochee State Forest/Croom Motorcycle Area.

Great news... Is this park going to be open every weekend or just event weekends like C&R and L-cross? 9 weekends is better than no weekends, but 52 weekends would be killer...

Some people think the new immagration laws they are trying to pass are too tough. Maybe we should make them even tougher and use these.
1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, and all government business will be conducted in our language.
2. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here.
3. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.
4. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, nor any other govern ment assistance programs.
5. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
6. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are not allowed to own waterfront property. That property is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
7. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing, no 'bad-mouthing' our president or his policies. If you do you will be sent home.
8. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.
Our laws are too though?
The above laws happen to be the immigration laws of 'MEXICO '!
I think ours should be the same...

Actually with that last statement by Hodges it might help...
"Maybe if the kids would just realize the danger they're creating, they'd be more careful," Hodges said. "I know a part of the problem is they have nowhere to ride their ATVs."

This is what I read...
Now, Earnhardt must decide which team is the best fit for him. He said he would like to continue to drive Chevrolets, which will limit his options. It's also likely his primary sponsor, Budweiser, will move with him to the new team.
They just said it was likely...So I will go with the 'still up in the air'.

Back when we were riding in North Port people where complaining about the cops wanting to shut it down because of people riding on the street. Sure enough we were getting ready to load up and there is someone walking wheelies down the street. This was not a sport bike but a large 4x4 ute, he would go all the way back until his rack hit the ground then kick it back, enter the curve too fast going on two wheels, and let me not forget he was not wearing a helmet. Like what was said before there are dumba$$ on or in everything you can think of, from skateboards to trucks. So why stereotype the sport bikes? Let's keep it fun and keep it safe.

Anoriginal is correct...ATVs in south Florida is dying out with no place to ride. We can't afford to give any of these people any more reasons to keep us out of areas that we are allowed to ride. We already lost a lot of the areas that they would turn a blinds eye and just let you have fun. We, as ATV riders, are looked at as a menace...Here is an article of a fire that broke out in Lehigh, they do not know the cause of this fire but they are quick to mention ATVers as a possible cause.
I can't think of one LEGAL riding area we have ever lost. McNab got built and was never legal in the first place. Fern Forest got sold and turned into a park, Lost Lake was never legal. Hollywood sporto and that cool bar were victims of progress....Sawgrass expressway kill a favorite of mine....ok, Holiday park we lost...don't think ATV's were the cause though. A blind eye, and LEGAL are miles apart. Blind eye equals trespassing, and lawsuit happy transplants are what ruined that for us, not pictures or trash. This is what I meant by defensive. My point was to watch each others back, that we (ATVers) as a whole are going to be attacked for every little thing that happens. I also posted an article as an example. You are right about the trespassing areas but now that the Blind eye areas are shut down we are all being confined to a few areas that are legal, the limits to these areas are diminishing and the pictures of trash doesn't help... Ask Bounty. There are a lot of people out there that doesn't like you (or I for that matter) just because of your ATV, in their opinion we do not follow rules and only create destruction to the environment and other peoples property. We as a whole need to show more positives of our activity to try to change some minds. I believe some people's mind can be changed, hell, look at Harley's at one time anyone that rode one where looked at as part of a bike gang that brought about destruction and violence. Now it's looked at as a nice recreational activity for many, young and old. These post are by no means meant as attacks, I learn a lot from these post and hope others can also. So...Let's keep looking out for each other and keep this activity fun for all.

Nevermind about the size... found the 640 acres.
Is this the 600+ acres promised to Collier County or are they considering two separate 600+ acre parks?
Also, an option in Google Earth you can save the image as a .jpg. Just find the area, then go under file, save image, then post the area online for all to see.
Red, the more parks the better even if they are a few miles apart or a county away. Exactly, that's why I was asking. 1200 acres split between two counties is better than 600... But 600 is better than nothing. Just didn't want to get my hopes up thinking we were getting two parks if the 600+ acres that was promised for Collier is the same 600+ acres that they are promising for Lee. I wouldn't mind one bit if they could fine 500 to 1000 acres in every county in Florida.
