1  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA 2010 Flat Track Points Series Final Race & Awards Dec 4th at OMS on: December 02, 2010, 10:47:47 AM
I just noticed on the flyer something about the "2009 Champions Recognition", whats that all about? Just curious!
2  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA 2010 Flat Track Points Series Final Race & Awards Dec 4th at OMS on: November 30, 2010, 11:43:35 AM
Got it Clapper  I would love to talk some smack back but will not be able to back it up! No job= No $, which= no racing and the added bonus of selling stuff! Oh well, sh!t happens, Have fun this weekend.... Thumbs Up
3  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA 2010 Flat Track Points Series Final Race & Awards Dec 4th at OMS on: November 30, 2010, 10:22:51 AM
I'm not up to par with all these girlie texting abbreviations, so what does "FTW" stand for?
4  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA 2010 Flat Track Points Series Final Race & Awards Dec 4th at OMS on: November 29, 2010, 11:25:37 PM
Alicia raced, but Jon Didn't , Jonny Vance was there but didn't race.
we have been waiting for everyone to show up.
I guess there isn't many real open class quad riders left ,that have the heart, and skill to let it all hang out,and not get discouraged and quit when they are not competitive right from the start,or when things don't go exactly as planned !!
We will be there for the last points race, lets hope a few of the old school weekend warriors show up for the last race,in this points series.

I don't think "heart and skill " has anything to do with it! Last I checked, I believe racing cost money and open quad parts don't last forever. I'm sure I could mention a few other reasons but I can hear the eggshells beneath my feet begining to crack Wink  I think with the opening of OMS, next season will bring alot of racers back. I liked what I saw at the last race, it looked like a family ran track again. Now I'm kinda wishing I didn't sell (give away) my kawi's sway bar.

I know, I know Yomama Like I said I should be able to make it to the next Thunderbowl race, hopefully. I need to pull some work into my shop first, $$$$$
9  General / Racing Scene / Re: Flat track racing last weekend 9-11-10 Thunderbowl Speedway on: September 21, 2010, 01:02:29 AM
So does winning the heats get you the trophy and money now?  Laugh

Whats up guys? I heard the track was nice, really wanted to race but I was attending a Shrinners fund raiser event for some friends. Hopefully I can make the next Thunderbowl event in October, my quad is sitting and ready and I'm itching to race. I finally got my banshee sold and the guy who bought it said he would like to give FT racing a try. so I'm trying to talk him into the October race. We'll see.
                                    See you guys in October
10  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA ROUND 5 CROSS ROADS MOTORPLEX JASPER, FL MAY 15TH on: May 19, 2010, 11:23:35 AM
so exactly WHERE do i find this info on the series lasting till december??

"UPDATED SDTA 2010 FLAT TRACK SCHEDULE & ADDITIONAL INFO" Its on this topic page since the begining of the season. That's one of the reasons I could not run for points this year, racing during the fall is out of the question for me with my new business venture (haunted woods/warehouse). Plus, I'm slow. Its going to be a long season.

11  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA ROUND 5 CROSS ROADS MOTORPLEX JASPER, FL MAY 15TH on: May 18, 2010, 08:31:37 PM
Championships?  Isn't this just the half way point of the SDTA season? 3 Stooges
12  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA R4 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY APRIL 24TH on: April 28, 2010, 10:35:11 AM
How was the turn out? I heard that the track hooked up nice. I took my family to Dirt Devils Saturday to scout out go-kart racing, I must admit that it was nowhere near as exciting as flat track but still was fun. I will diffently not be selling all my flat track stuff, just the banshee.
13  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA R4 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY APRIL 24TH on: April 20, 2010, 11:08:30 AM
I got it running( bad spark plug) but I already converted it back to trail riding so I can ride it around my property and at croom with my family, tired of seeing it sitting in my garage. Plus I am thinking of getting my son into go kart racing (champ kart) and plan on taking him to watch them race at Dirt Devils this Saturday. That is why I am selling my banshee, so I can set him up in a nice champ kart and then maybe get myself an open kart to race also.
I do have plans on building my trx250r up for FT. I just got it and currently it is only a rolling chassis (a really nice rolling chassis) I made a deal to get the motor also (270 for now). I should have it up and going in a few months, it depends on how envolved I get with the go kart racing. I guess we'll see Wink either way, it is too nice to sell even though I turned down a really good offer for it yesterday. I think I need a bigger garage Wacko and a better job
14  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA R4 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY APRIL 24TH on: April 17, 2010, 08:57:08 PM
Well I guess I will not be racing on the 24th. I got the banshee completely stripped to a bare frame. Painting the frame, swing arm and a-arms to get it ready to sale. Time to clean the garage out to make room for new race toys  Wink  Anyone want to buy a flat track ready Banshee?  Thumbs Up  Hope everyone has a fun and safe night of racing, see yall when I see yall
15  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA R4 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY APRIL 24TH on: April 13, 2010, 02:31:37 PM
The clutch just arrived for my banshee, so I will have it ready for this race. I will get one more race in before all the chaos starts with my new business venture Evil  I also got my 450 running, ended up being a bad spark plug Bang Head But I went ahead and converted it back over to trail riding, I almost forgot how much fun it is with the knobbies back on and ripping through the trees Looney But also on that note, I forgot I have wider a-arms and axle now...oops  See ya on the 24th
16  General / Racing Scene / Re: SUMTER COUNTY MSP SDTA R3 FLAT TRACK POINTS SERIES RACE MAR 27TH on: March 25, 2010, 01:08:39 PM
good to hear Clapper Yeah Dave showed me the video on his phone of the banshee running, sounds mean Evil  Can't wait to see your quad run. See ya on Saturday.
17  General / Racing Scene / Re: SUMTER COUNTY MSP SDTA R3 FLAT TRACK POINTS SERIES RACE MAR 27TH on: March 25, 2010, 08:52:11 AM
Not much activity on here lately! Hope everyone is just resting up for this weekends race. The weather is looking great, so hopefuly we will have a good turn out. Looking forward to it and hope to see everyone there. Thumbs Up
18  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA FLAT TRACK R2 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY FEB 20TH on: February 26, 2010, 11:51:59 AM
"it just boils down to consistency, chassis set up and of course the rider"  Thumbs Up   I second that!   Like they say "smooth is fast" and Jon was just pure out smooth that night. A race like that was what we needed, it got alot of attention. And plus, lap times don't lie. I know track conditions were a factor too, but still it was impressive. Hopefully we can keep increasing the quad numbers and start adding classes to our line up.

Are any of you planning on racing at Sumter on Friday March 5th? I will be there with my son trying to get the cob webs out of me and my quad. I'm starting a new business this year, so my race schedule is limited. But the 5th sounds like fun, hope you all can make it.
19  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA FLAT TRACK R2 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY FEB 20TH on: February 23, 2010, 09:09:01 PM
Jon held his line the entire race.......this is the reason for the win....GREAT JOB and kuddos to the crew chief as the quad looked like it was on rails.

Derek used ALL of the track.....did you see where he ran up the wall by the flagger before spinning in turn 2?  Holy cow that would freak me out  Bow  (maybe it freaked him out too and that is why he spun right after...)

I agree, without a doubt that was Jon's race from the start. He just flat out drove the wheels of that Yamaha. I can foresee some great open class racing  this season, especially when Dave Ware gets his motor together and Derrick gets that 500 4-stroker in his quad that he has been talking about.
20  General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA FLAT TRACK R2 THUNDER BOWL SPEEDWAY FEB 20TH on: February 23, 2010, 08:53:49 PM
Wow! I almost got lapped Wacko It actually looked like I was in first on the last two laps, I was so far behind I really was in first

Jon and Derrick, that was some great racing Thumbs Up

I would like to give props to (SDTA) Shawn, Ward and Ray for a great night of racing.  Clapper  Thank you and keep up the good work.

And also I have to give it up to Linda and the TB staff, Thank you for giving us racers a 100%   Linda, I like the racing play by play commentary, it just added to all the great racing that went on that night.

I know that alot of you racers are preparing for Daytona this week, but hopefully I will see yall at the Sumter race on March 5th. Good Luck in Daytona

Track looking good this week with the new drag Shawn built.  All systems go for the race.  Track crew working hard making sure the skeptics have a different view.

OK quads, lets have a good showing on the 20th, dust them off and lets race Drive

Does anyone know how the track is coming along? I know that area has been getting alot of rain lately. Any status on the track drag? Approve

You all have to check out the pics of the flat track quad crash on page 8 of DirtWheels March edition. Shocked snap!  It reminds me of my 1200 pound quarter horse chasing and trying to stomp my 30 pound border collie, scary Oh my god!
