I don't care much for Muslims either.  Unfortunately I haven't had an opportunity to meet a good one yet....

Yeah they're like lawyers. I've heard of good ones but good luck finding one ! maybe they're both busy riding unicorns and counting gold with leprechauns at theend of the rainbow ?

Present company being the exception of course Anoriginal ( cough - yeah right - cough )

Lol

It's not often but I have to disagree with you on this. It was no mistake. A lapse in judgrment yes, but a conscious decision to act out and he broke the law in the process. Celebrities seem to do such things without regard to the consequences due to their perception of elevated status. Regardless if it's murder , theft, DUI, or  impersonating an officer they deserve no special treatment. He'll undoubtedly get off with a minor slap on the wrist but he deserves whatever the actions would earn any non-celebrity status individual.
I think the guy is awesome ! But still no special treatment. He broke the law.

Black, white, green, red or blue....doesn't matter. It was a stupid mistake.

Seriously though, can you imagine what went on when he pulled over the two off duty troopers? I would love to have seen the event take place.
3  General / Open Discussion / Re: Stewart Arrested! on: March 29, 2011, 11:26:38 PM
Couldn't care less what color his skin is or how much $ he's worth he broke the law and should be prosecuted accordingly and not let off due to celebrity status. He did a stupid thing. It was also an illegal thing . Unfortunately for him he got caught.

5  General / Open Discussion / Re: Guns & Doctors on: February 25, 2011, 07:51:15 AM
Let's not forget that if Obama gets his way we'll be FORCED to buy insurance like it or need it or not. That means the middle class will have less control and less money. It's like being forced to play Russian roulette and being charged for every pull of the trigger !

Midterms were a good start now let's finish the job in 2012 !

I don't know about that but I've stopped eating oysters from the gulf

Maybe they'll come up with a renewable crude/fish oil source out of it lol

Just spent a week up at Disney where the ISGA (international sport grappling association) held the national events for grappling and sport MMA. There were competitors from as far away as California, Ohio, Canada, and Puerto Rico. I'm very proud to say that my 13 year old daughter took the national title for her age and weight division in both grappling and MMA. My 9 year old son also took both titles (grappling and MMA) in his age and weight division, and continued his unbeated streak since last December.

One of the guys from our gym also won the open contest and won a pro contract for a Florida based fight organization.
Thanks to Lee Jacobs and his dedication to training athletes while serving Christ.

14  General / Open Discussion / Re: Street Helmets on: August 09, 2010, 09:49:01 AM
prayers for the family. Hopefully the father will make a quick, full, recovery.

I rode street bikes for a number of years and a helmet saved my life. I was riding north (yes I was speeding) when a guy pulled out from a parking lot to my right and stopped fully blocking my lane while crossing to the south bound lanes. There was a car in the right lane. To the left was a median and two lanes of oncoming traffic. I slowed as much as I could without laying it down - I knew an instant stop  from that speed into his driver door meant death - and hit his fender. The bike and I flipped over his car. I hit so hard it broke one of the handle bars, the forks bent back and crushed the radiator, and my shoes flew off in different directions - 1 was never seen again. I went up and over, flew approx 65 feet, landed ON MY HEAD, and rolled into oncoming traffic where a car screeched to a halt just inches from my face. I walked away thanks to the protection of a helmet.
I cringe when I see people riding without them. I know they aren't cool and all, but I personally wouldn't ride without one. It can/will save your life. You can ride at less than 10 MPH, bust, hit your head and die. with a helmet you'll be fine.
I agree wear your helmet, or don't ride.

Stroked, not stroked, what ever. I could slap reins and a saddle on Quad32x and and smoke all of you down 300' !  although it would make Trx#9 very jealous  Shocked

seriously though, lighten up. I know when I bought/buy quads it wasn't with the intent of spending my time arguing that I'm faster than everyone else on 4 wheels.

Glad you guys had a good time. post up the pics when you get to it.

OAKLAND, Calif. – Anderson Silva was only 110 seconds away from surrendering his Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight championship when he pulled off one of the most stunning finishes in mixed martial arts history in the main event of UFC 117 at Oracle Arena.

After taking more than four rounds of pounding from trash-talking challenger Chael Sonnen, a thoroughly beaten-up Silva (27-4) caught Sonnen (25-11-1) in a triangle choke.

Sonnen tapped out at 3:10 of the fifth round, though Sonnen complained to referee Josh Rosenthal. He apparently was saying that he didn’t submit, though replays indicated he clearly did.

Sonnen took Silva down early in each round and beat him terribly in each. Several times, Rosenthal was leaning in, apparently on the verge of stopping the bout.

The fifth round was no different from the other four. Silva, who was far behind on the scorecards, came out aggressively and tried to end it, but Sonnen took him down again. He was pounding away until Silva slipped on the triangle.

Submission defense has been Sonnen’s biggest problem throughout his career, and it was again on his biggest night. But he made himself into a major star, not only with his trash talking but also with his gritty performance.

The victory was the UFC-record 12th in a row for Silva, the longest reigning champion in company history. He has held the title since October 2006.
17  General / Open Discussion / UFC last night on: August 08, 2010, 05:15:43 PM
Is anyone else as disappointed as I am ? The fights were good, but I really wanted Sonnen to win. He didn't do much damage, but he did exactly what he said he would. He went through Silva's punches and put him on his back and attempted to beat a hole in his face. I honestly though he would have been knocked out, but he dominated the whole fight............right up to when he got submitted.
I know Silva said he was injured, so maybe that was it, but how many think Sonnen showed his weakness in putting him under pressure instead of letting him dance and fire those hands ?
Silva is a fantastic fighter, but after his antics in the last several fights I want to see him beat.

might be a joke to you but I'm all for waterboarding or anything else that can be used to get information out of terrorists that may save American lives.

laugh all you like fish. I'm sure to those in the military, and the families of fallen heros will have a significantly different view on things, even while they continue to make sacrifices to protect you and your freedoms.

22  General / Open Discussion / Re: Truck lift kits ? on: July 23, 2010, 08:25:14 PM
I definitely want the front lifted for clearance. I don't like the amount of rake forward on the stock truck, but definitely don't want to have the back sagging when towing so I thought a slight rake would work.

any big advantage or disadvantage to a block vs add a leaf ?
23  General / Open Discussion / Truck lift kits ? on: July 23, 2010, 02:13:01 PM
Thinking about raising my truck just a little to fit new tires under it. I've seen many and honestly don't know which to go with. I already know I would have to go 6" to fit  35's then have to regear, etc. so that's not going to happen. I plan on lifting the front to match the back (level) then lifting the rear just a little for when I tow a trailer. I've looked at Tuff country, Rough Country, Easy lift, and on and on. They all use strut spacers up front. some have options of blocks or leaf springs in the rear. Any suggestions on which to go with and why ? I'd prefer to not go with the air bag system this time unless there is a real benefit to it.
The truck is a Chevy Silverado crew 4x4.
one other question - some say upon lifting the rear that new shocks are not necessary, but recommended. I have the upgraded Z71 suspension with Rancho shocks - will they handle the rear lift of 2" or should I replace them with longer ones ?

I'm definitely going back to the BFG AT's in a 275/70/18 which puts the tire height at 33.2" but they aren't as wide as my 285's were to make sure there's no rubbing.

Thanks

What kind of car?

judging by the numbers he was mentioning it looks like the 2011 Mustang. It's reported to have 412 HP from the stock motor for the GT models.
