3  General / Open Discussion / Re: Do I have a case against Suzuki??? on: March 30, 2005, 05:06:19 AM
My grandpa has an 03 suzuki eiger and it does the same damn thing. It has actually caused me to flip, on several occasions. The most recent flip happened about a week ago, I was trying to climb a msmall hill, but couldnt make it. So I started backing down, and about half way down the left front tire caught a root and snatched the bars to the right, and I grabbed the brakes. When that happened the throttle hit the Hi-lo-reverse lever, and went wot, which whipped the rear end right around and caused it to roll. On a different atv it wouldnt have happened, because even if the bars cut, when you grab the brakes it would have stopped.

Btw: I have never flipped or rolled any other atv, but I have rolled this one 7 times now.

4xplay, you were on the "north side" it's alot smaller than the other side, but yes you can get in without owning property. I actually have property and a camp in there, but alot of people who ride there dont.
5  General / Where to Ride? / Re: River Ranch Questions????? on: March 15, 2005, 04:34:09 AM
From what I heard the state Is buying a few sections in RR, and is asking people to voluntarily sale their land.
6  General / Where to Ride? / Re: River Ranch Questions????? on: March 14, 2005, 07:10:28 AM
There was a meeting at the gate on the north side of rr yesterday about the state buying it. I didn tmak eit to the meeting, but i know a few people who did. So when I find out what was said i'll post to let everyone know.

7  General / Tech Corner / Re: Just ordered a set of Vampire ASXs... on: February 25, 2005, 04:54:16 AM
You'll be alot happier with the 589's. Even though I dont personally like 589's they will stomp asx's. The vampire Asx is made for argo's where there isnt much clearance for and inside side lug, so one side of the tire doesn't have much grip at all. The vampires are the tire you would want if you went with super swampers.
8  General / Open Discussion / Re: Young man in River Ranch hit by truck 2-19 on: February 25, 2005, 04:46:13 AM
As far as I know everyone from the 2 trucks I saw were ok, at least until their parents found out.

I went to the gate last night and the gate keeper had'nt heard about anyone getting hit, but I'm sure if he wasn't ok we would have heard about it.
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: Young man in River Ranch hit by truck 2-19 on: February 24, 2005, 05:08:21 AM
I havent heard anything about it, I live across the road(sam keen) from the main gate, and have a camp on the north side. I'll try to make it over to the gate and check with the gate keeper tonight, and i'll let you know what i find out.

Btw: did you see the 2 trucks taht have flipped out there recently. Thre was a new chevy 4 door that rolled right in front of our buggy, and then there was a f-150 supercrew tharolled down the road from the pond/mudhole (the dirt road that goes straight from sam keen)

11  General / Open Discussion / Re: Pet Peeves on: February 11, 2005, 05:05:13 AM
I agree with most of yall's pet peeves, but my #1 pet peeve is people on nextels. I have one and use it all the time, but i cant stand the people in grocery stores that have to act like 10 year olds and leave it on speaker so everyone see's that they have a nextel. I dont care to hear their conversation, and from some of the ones i've heard i dont know why they would want other people to hear it either. Or when one nextel beeps in a crowded area, and like 50 people look down, grab their phone, open it up, stare at it, put it back on thier side, and know the whole time it wasn't thiers that beeped in the first place. lol
12  General / Tech Corner / Re: GBC Gators - good tire? on: February 10, 2005, 07:30:48 AM
no problem. I forgot to say that i wouldnt recommend bear claws either if you like to mud. I have a set of them, and they just dont dig at all. They sit on top of mud and just spin until they are slick.
13  General / Tech Corner / Re: GBC Gators - good tire? on: February 10, 2005, 07:14:47 AM
look here: http://www.highlifter.com/store/Tires.html

I found vamps, tri claws, bear claws, gators, bugs, and lights in 9" rim, and there may be a few others.
14  General / Open Discussion / Re: Outlaw MST's on: February 10, 2005, 06:18:29 AM
Everyone on the high lifter forum says they think they look like swamp witches. But i think they look more like goodyear mud runners, and should perform about the same as the Goodyear's. They only come in 26" sizes right now though.
15  General / Tech Corner / Re: GBC Gators - good tire? on: February 10, 2005, 04:18:43 AM
I have gators and love them. but if you are staying with 25" go with mudbugs. They have the ddeep tread in 25". Gators and lights only have 5/8" in 25" and bugs have 1 1/4". Gators and bugs have the same tread design though. Imo mudlights suck.
16  General / Open Discussion / Re: BEST 4X4 QUAD on: February 09, 2005, 04:52:13 AM

17  General / Tech Corner / Re: Octane on: January 31, 2005, 06:46:10 AM

18  General / Photo Gallery & Videos / Re: darn polaris trannys on: January 24, 2005, 04:42:46 AM
Im guessing no reverse  Grin

I just replaced the tranny on my old 400, I lost reverse first, then it started slipping, then i started loosing lo-range.
19  General / Tech Corner / Re: Honda 100Xr ( Help ) on: January 21, 2005, 07:18:11 AM
check the boot from the carb to the engine(intake Maninfiold) The one on my old grizzly had a hole in it and after it warmed up it idled high, and didnt like to idle down.
20  General / Tech Corner / Re: polaris hubs on: January 13, 2005, 06:37:18 AM
I dont think that the sportsman hubs will fit, but i think the hubs off of the new magnums will. they have the 4/156 pattern and sra.
21  General / Open Discussion / Re: Tire Suggestions for Clay on: January 11, 2005, 09:43:31 AM
gators are a good tire, especially for the price. They clean really well, and pull strong.(not as good as outlaws though)
22  General / Open Discussion / Re: Dirt Wheels January 2005 issue.... on: December 22, 2004, 09:46:04 AM
The guy that owns it had it at the high lifter mud nationals last year, and did pretty good. He has like $25,000 invested in it, and could have won by haveing a $0.05 wire connecter. He got to the end of the mud hole and caught a rut, and figured no big deal right, so he tried to back up and couldn't turn the tires over. If he would have bypassed the reverse rev limiter he could have won.

Btw: he only competes with 4 outlaws on it, the other four are just for show...

did yall catch the mis-print in dw? It says he's running 8 mudzilla's.
