i have had a honda 450 and now have ltr 450 both are great bikes if you are going for trails i would go with the honda.

make sure to use a good water seperator but as far as sand i have used everything including sand from my back yard it depends on what your blasting.

yea but that place stinks because he wont let 2wd bikes there.

i believe 2wd bikes are now aloud.

also just because some one is supposed to do a good job doesn't mean they will poeple are greedy.

i work in the sevice industry and get tips for some customers some people belive your supposed to tip every one but i think it is at your decrestion if you have the bucks tip them if money is tight then save you money. i tip every one i can right now money is tight so i probably wouldn't tip unless like some one else said you were going to be seeing them agin regularly. thats my 2 cents.

i would check the cap, wire, and how much gas is in it. all have been problems with others i know.

it sounds like your talking about the lid?

i had my foreman and rancher snorkeled and used to go in water over the bars never did anything with the lid and they never leaked. but thats just my input.

just as i got used to the way it was, man your killing me!!!

i got 26'' outlaws on my 350 rancher pulls good.  When i get in the nasty stuff it will bog unless i am on the gas.

the 26's are a little much for the 300 i think.

i don't understand how some people can hate it here as much as they say and still stay here something is keeping them here. i know if i hated it here as much as some of you say i would LEAVE. 

and sorry to the person who started this post for all garbage and posts that don't answer your question, but there isn't a lot of places to ride here. (depending on where you live)
