GOOD SPRINT phones  is a contradiction in terms there is no such thing

Not true, Sanyo phones on Sprint are SOLID, as are alot of other ones. Just avoid the flashy hip junk they crank out cheap to please the teenagers.
2  General / Open Discussion / Re: Laptop PC?? on: April 11, 2009, 03:42:44 PM
I dont reccomend going to staples, bestbuy, etc. I always suggest buying directly from the company. HP has deals on their website and often it will come out cheaper or the same through the website. The other benifit is you know you are not getting a reman, return, etc. You also dont end up with double-warranties or junk you dont need. For printers (if you dont get a bundle) i suggest something like Walmart for local (great deals sometimes) or

www.tigerdirect.com
www.newegg.com

Take care with printers as alot of times at local stores like walmart they do not come with the USB cable. You want to check and make sure yours does. If not and you can wait a day or two, order it online or off ebay for a couple bucks.

I'm bored so heres some misc ones for kick

From NJ:

This one requires some explanation. To the left of the picture ~20ft is a berm. I jumped over the back of the birm. Look to the right of the photo, see that little tree top sticking up? Just to the left of it you can see where i was SUPPOSED to land. This was the first day i had the bike, was on it for about an hour. The snow made the berm muddy and i kicked really bad. Bent the axle for the first time that week in this picture. The landing hurt pretty bad on the happy place.

Stock-ish

I'll toss up a few. Here is what happens when you let a 5'3 blonde girl take you for a ride  Cheesy Five minutes and a blown engine later she brings it back smoking like a wild fire and im being towed home behind a blaster  Cry

haaa

My number always looks so beautiful as the sun glistens off the oil coating my back fenders.....

Man oh man what did she do......lmfao

Some more oil

Tow vehicle....haa

I have no airbox so i avoid mud and water. However the girl driving the tow vehicle figured hey i already blew it up, why not drag him thru some puddles on the way home too!  Kiss

I would call ahead and ask because there have been times that i have no issues at all with my LT-R but once i went and they wouldnt let me in the park. They have a rule about ATV width, but they never check it. My bike is 49.5 inches stock, and with my holeshots and locker rims it measures 50.5. They only allow something like 49 and the guy refused to let me in because he measured it.

I was ticked.
8  General / Open Discussion / Re: Wheel Adapter Question on: April 11, 2009, 12:42:27 PM
I admittedly do not know much about the 4x4 ATV's, but i would be cautious. I would say its fine because you arent clearing table tops and stuff like us sport guys, but i think the weight of each machine may be a factor in that the wheel bearings might wear faster.
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: atvs blamed for fire on: April 11, 2009, 12:40:49 PM
I still find it amusing that the smokey the bear people put out that anti-atv ad. They showed two guys on ATV's (400EX's) and a spokes person made a big rant about how they werent using spark arrestors and could cause fires.

The ad was pulled from all venues 48 hours later after the ATV community pointed out to the creators that the ATV's used in the ad were clearly equipped with spark arrestors.
10  General / Open Discussion / Re: Laptop PC?? on: April 11, 2009, 12:38:49 PM
HP for laptops. They all have problems, but of the brands HP has the least and the prices are great. Dell is the worst and most overpriced imo. Toshiba is entirely too expensive for the amount of problems they carry, and Toshiba hates to acknoledge their errors. Gateway, dont get me started. Personally i despise MAC but i always suggest HP and barring that, a MAC because they are solid compares to other PC brand options. Buy the accidental damage warranty. OS is all preference. Personally im a die hard Linux user, but on the rare occasion i need to do something in Windows for someone i use Vista Ultimate 64Bit.

What program are you needing that doesnt work with MAC? You could most likely use that same program under Linux (Ubuntu would be my suggestion) which will be very similar to what your used to (why not, MAC is based off Unix/Linux and sold for profit).

Thats just my opinion after 18 years of doing this. Others will differ, try things out and take your time to find what fits you.
11  General / Open Discussion / Re: Best way to stand up the atv in a truck bed on: April 11, 2009, 12:33:52 PM
Turn the fuel off, make sure the tank isnt so full it leaks out the overflow (shouldnt). When you unload it just give it a couple minutes for the oil to settle down. Make sure its secure when transporting, of course.

I have done this with blasters, 400EX's, my banshee and even my LT-R450 which has a tip switch with 0 issues.
12  General / Open Discussion / Re: Wheel Adapter Question on: April 05, 2009, 09:58:48 PM
What model are the ATV's? Depending on the weight/type/use of the atv's it may be a bad idea to use them at all. Personally im not a fan of adapters or spacers on any quad.
13  General / Open Discussion / Re: im 13 and want to get into racing and freestyle on: April 05, 2009, 06:29:19 PM

15  General / Open Discussion / Re: Sand blasting question ? on: April 05, 2009, 12:01:37 PM
No offense to anyone who posted already, but i spent a few years working on a body shop and i would never use anything but processed, bagged, purchased sand or gladd bead for sandblasting. I dont care how well you screen it, stuff can get in there. It can damage and wear the equipment as well as give a less then desired result on the surface your blasting.

Sandblasting sand and glass bead is not really that expensive. If done right you can capture the majority (if not all) of what you use and pass it through a few screens for a second or even third use. Do you really want to base the quality of the outcome and sweat labor over saving a few bucks on sand?

18  General / Open Discussion / Re: Sales Tax Exempt?? on: June 25, 2008, 07:21:43 PM
I guess it makes sense, sorta. Just seems kind of wrong. Apparently the first dealer isnt the only misinformed party, i asked someone before i replied to auction and he was convinced it was ok for hunting as well. Seems we both learned something.
19  General / Open Discussion / Re: Sales Tax Exempt?? on: June 25, 2008, 08:50:57 AM
So because you buy it for farm use you cant have any possibility of legally registering it for use elsewhere? Sounds like total BS, or a lawsuit waiting to happen. Do we not pay more for the sticker? So how is it their right to say that we cant purchase a sticker because we did not have to pay sales tax? If you can show the majority of the use is for the exemption purpose then who are they to hinder fair use of your atv?

And my understanding is the exemption does apply to hunters. Though i could be wrong.

If they are in the vault AVG shouldnt be warning you about them anymore. Yes you can empty the vault, but you should not have too. I would make sure there are no updates and when your finished run a full system scan and let AVG check everything out. If your not running AVG 8.0, you should download it from www.download.com as it has the most recent updates.
21  General / Open Discussion / Re: Sales Tax Exempt?? on: June 24, 2008, 01:09:09 AM
Being tax exempt does not block from you any privlages of someone who was not tax exempt. If you purchase an ATV legally then you may register it. The fact that you were not forced to pay tax does not remove your legal right to fair use of your ATV.
22  General / Open Discussion / Re: my computer is a slow pos, help on: June 24, 2008, 01:06:48 AM
Thought that would work, glad i could help =]

Did you try and remove the infections with AVG?
23  General / Open Discussion / Re: my computer is a slow pos, help on: June 23, 2008, 05:40:07 PM
Ever since i downloaded this game (4x4 evolution) off of a torrent site, my computer has been a total turd. it refuses to load anything from google and certain other sites. and is slow with everything. i ran a scan with AVG and it cleared some stuff but its still slow. cant do a system restore because it happened the last day of last month. also my audio device was infected so now i have no sound, anyone know where i can download a new audio device or whatever it is to give me sound again. im not smart at all with computers, so please help me.

Most computers wipe the previous months restore points automatically.

In any even those are the dell issued drivers for your machine, and should work. If not we will go from there. If need be ill do a remote assist for you.
