Battery (if needed), gas, oil
2  General / Open Discussion / Re: No more side by sides..... on: December 07, 2016, 09:37:46 AM
I think the bigger question is what you would consider over aggressive tires. Depending on this, it could wipe out 50%+ of the people who attend.

Great mud only areas and average quad trails for everyone depending on your flavor. I remember when Larry started riding. Now he is one of the professionals! Go get em, Larry!  Wink Cool

You still pulling with that little Kia (or whatever it was!). I'll never forget you out at the Pumpkin Run with your car on the only piece of green turf left. That was classic! Wish I had taken a photo of that!

I have never tried it but I believe Google maps will plot your location via GPS only. You won't be able to get directions though.
9  General / Where to Ride? / Re: 5A Newbie Questions on: January 14, 2015, 09:55:36 AM
My first car was a 72 duster.

You had your first car 10 years before I was born.
10  General / Where to Ride? / Re: 5A Newbie Questions on: January 12, 2015, 11:31:17 AM
What is the type of crowd that is drawn? This can be hit or miss. Everyone is usually pretty friendly but there can be some wild people from time to time. I've never had any issues though.

Is it actually legal? Yes

What is the typical terrain? Pretty wet as of late from what I have heard. Depends on the rain fall. I've seen it swamped and I have seen it dry. The ground it all sand. I have not ridden here in over a year though.

Anywhere nearby to stay? Not really. Probably the best option would be one of the hotels off the Colonial Drive(SR50) exit of I95. About 15 miles south. Not sure I would want to leave my equipment out though.

Will yall be selling pumpkin run t shirts at the event? Or will they only available when you bought pre sale tickets?

They usually sell them at the trailer towards the back of the property. Just follow the entrance road all the way back to the fence.

Great picture, Grizzly_Tamer! Dave, is there any chance with all this rain it will be TOO wet to hold the run? I saw Mudmuckers was cancelled.

16  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: 44th Annual Pumpkin Run on: September 23, 2014, 12:55:42 PM
I may be going alone this year. If anyone plans to go and wouldn't mind another rider tagging along, let me know!
17  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: 44th Annual Pumpkin Run on: September 19, 2014, 11:13:12 AM
Mmmmm mud
18  General / Where to Ride? / Re: 5A how are the conditions on: August 01, 2014, 03:07:15 PM
I went there during Hurricane/Tropical Storm Fay and most of the trails were literally 2-4 foot deep rivers. It was myself and a friend and another group of 5 and that's all that was out there. Craziest riding I think I have ever done.

If I wanted a single seater, I'd buy a fourwheeler Smiley
22  General / Where to Ride? / Re: 5A Hunters on: November 26, 2013, 07:12:51 PM
Stick to the south side of the canal and you should be fine
23  General / Tech Corner / Re: New to Florida,tire question on: October 25, 2013, 09:32:27 AM
I'd recommend the ITP Mud Lite XTR. I use the ITP Mud Lite AT but my buddy has the XTR's and I like them a lot. If you want aggressive tires, you can always go with Outlaws or Silverbacks. I also recommend Craigslist to purchase them Smiley
24  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: 43rd Annual Pumpkin Run on: October 17, 2013, 12:01:28 PM
Fantastic, you've made my day!  Cool

Will you be in the back behind the gate as usual?
25  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: 43rd Annual Pumpkin Run on: October 17, 2013, 07:42:59 AM
AMC,

do you by chance know anyone that is going to have a TV there and maybe happen to have the FSU vs. Clemson game on?
