It's hard to judge why the low turn out for the last couple months. The heat and rain all summer could have played a big role. A fall/winter series could do much better.

Something that could help is posting the scheduled races with more lead time. Myself and others prepare our race schedules far in advance. It can be difficult making a race if there is only a week or so notice.

Another idea is if you want more people at every race then have less races. The cost of maintaining the machines, gas, tires, etc to race every 2 weeks can be difficult on the wallet.

 

Sorry I hurt someone's feelings. If you're going to remove my post at least send me a PM explaining why. I did not post anything negative or offensive about anyone. I just want to know if we are working in a positive direction with scheduling. Forums are a place to post thoughts and have discussions. If no one is allowed to post questions why are they here?

I just picked up a new camcorder and plan on taking some video at the races. I'll see if Shawn can bring his helmet cam and maybe we can put a good clip together.

Quads will remain in the 3:30 time slot on Saturday during HS. Points are also reinstated.

The flyer looks great and I don't want to sound like a critic but I think for the next one we should add something about classes. "Quads and Motorcycles of all sizes and all ages, Knobby class too"

Anyone have information about a flat track in Durhamtown? I'm heading up there in about a month for a Saturday to Wednesday trip to do some trail riding. I heard they have a flat track and was wondering if they have scheduled practices or if it's an open ride. It would be great to get some laps in but I don't want to pack all my flat track gear if it's not worth it. I'm new to this game and could use all the practice I can get (and more).
