Anybody on here read the Woods and Water magazine? If so, check out the upper right hand corner of pg.57 in the April edition. Nice pick of a "little" pig my buddy and I caught.

Matt, you will just have to call us then or go to our website....
Looking forward to coming back over. Dirty Foot is a great place and with the improvements you are putting in will be second to none. I know that you have the mx track open but have you had any sand drags?

As far as UTVs not being able to pull anything, I've got a funny story about that. A couple of years ago I pulled into a FTR race and was running a little late, I jumped out of my truck to go get signed up and told my brother to go park the truck. Well I knew that my 4x4 had been acting up(damn electric shift BS) but my brother didnt and when he headed across a big section of sugar sand it started spinning down and of course wouldn't lock in so he was stuck. Well, he called me and told me the truck was stuck so after I got signed up I walked through the parking area and found my truck stuck. This was a little embarrasing because there are a LOT of people at these races and my truck is lifted and on bigger tires and shouldn't be stuck that easily. My biggest fear was for some wise ass in a duramax or Dodge to come over and offer to pull me out. It was not my brothers first rodeo so he knew well enough to not bury it to the axle and he stopped as soon as it quite moving. I got in the truck and it would back up a few feet but it wasnt going to make it out in 2wh dr. So, as much as I would have bet it would never work, as I'm sure others thought when they saw what I was going to try. I unloaded my Rhino and hooked a chain between the Rhino and my truck, I told my brother to get in the truck and as soon as he saw the rhino tires start to turn to ease out the clutch and lets see what happens. That damn Rhino pulled it through the sand into some harder ground and the day was saved. The crazy thing is that it didnt just pull the truck out, the truck(F350 diesel) was pulling my 24ft.enclosed trailer with 2 other quads in it and loaded with tools, parts, generator, etc.

It will maybe for a minute and very rough. then it gives out a pop and shuts down. Thanks chillin
Ok then. When you turn the choke on will it idle better? If thats the case then you need to go back in the carb again. Are you 100% sure that you cleaned the pilot jet really well? These jets are very small, especially on a small machine and you need to be able to hold it up in the light and see through it. I usually have to use a single small strand out of a piece of copper wire to clean a clogged pilot jet. If the carb was really nasty and you didnt get it really clean, then its possible that you did clean the jet well and it clogged again right away.

Sorry to hear it didnt go over well. I honestly didnt think it would, 24 hrs. is a BIG commitment. I love to race when my personal life allows me the time but the 6-8 hour events interest me more than a 24. A 24 hr. race would be cool if it was a baja type long distance race or it took place on a HUGE tract of land so that you werent making a million laps.

I haven't participated in any ONF discussions in a while because I guess I am still bitter regarding all the "improvements", but since you seem to be very involved I will tell you how I feel about the trail system. I started riding in Ocala about 8 years ago and enjoyed it enough to buy a place up there. My place is almost directly across from the trail by the pig pen. I used to spend a couple of weekends every month up there and hosted many groups rides right out of my yard. As the new system was being implemented and closed signs were being posted EVERYWHERE, I completely lost interest in riding in the forest. I will attempt to explain some of my problems with the system. I will be honest and tell you that I am a racer and like to burn up the trails. Whoops, high banked turns, logs, ditches, hills, bumps, and jumps etc. are what I like to do. This type of riding was much better before the new system was put in. With that said, I understand that the forest is not a race track and I have other places to get my fix of more extreme riding. The real killjoy for me was that I used to have destinations to lead group rides to. We could ride from my place on the west side of the forest all the way to the St. Johns river east of 19. There was also several other river destinations along the Oklawaha river and of course the Rodman dam pit and the Eureka dam pit to stop and let the kids play. Its too bad the open pit areas were closed because it was a great place to let the kids loose. I never let my kids lead on the trails for fear of a head on collision, so they are stuck riding long dusty loops around the forest with no fun destination to go to. This is why I dont even trailer the quads to the forest anymore. I'll be up there this weekend for the 4th but I wont be bringing the bikes. So if anything can be changed it would be nice to add some cool destinations. I also understand that at some point the whole system will be connected. That would be cool to be able to start at the north end and travel all the way to big scrub with places along the way to stop for fuel and drinks.
