The mud bog rocked! For anyone that likes to get muddy and lives anywhere w/i 3 hours of Bunnell, Florida, you would be a FOOL not to come join us at this event the 2nd weekend of every month! WOW! Fun, fun, fun! Best $15 a head I EVER spent. They have showers, wash down stations, bathrooms, food and drink, not a lot of rules; just good CLEAN fun Smiley

4  General / Where to Ride? / St. Francis Trail? (Off of 42 near DeLand/Paisley) on: May 07, 2008, 04:50:33 PM
Just drove down Hwy. 42 this morning and saw an entrance to a trail called the St. Francis Trail.  The trail marker showed ohv use allowed.  Can anyone tell me if I can park at that trail entrance off of 42 (NW of the River Forest Campground entrance) and give me some information about atv riding on that trail?  I live like 5 minutes away and it would be great to hit a good trail that close.

Do you know if a tagged for the street, dual sported XR650R, needs one of those little greenies? Taking all the fun out of riding off-road.

Directly from the US Forest Service Website for Ocala:

"Any vehicle defined by the State of Florida as legal for use on state roads (licensed vehicles) does not need the pass to use the current 80 miles of mixed-use trails.  Dual Sport Bikes that have a license plate are included in this; however, if the Dual Sport Bike rides on the ATV or motorcyle-only trail, then they must buy the pass.

Licensed vehicles can only operate on designated travel ways in the Forest, which include 80 miles of mixed-use trails and numbered roads."
