WASHINGTON—At a press conference on Monday, members of the Vietnam Veterans Alliance blasted Democratic nominee Barack Obama for his failure to serve in the Southeast Asian war that ended 33 years ago, alleging that during the conflict the candidate frequently engaged in games of T-ball. "While our boys were dying in Vietnam, Barack Obama was running around a little league field, laughing and having fun without a care in the world," VVA spokesman James Lowry said. "John McCain left his wife and three children behind and fought bravely, but I guess Sen. Obama decided that practicing cursive and learning how to ride a bike was just more important than defending his country in her hour of need. I bet he wasn't even able to point out Vietnam on a map." Lowry later speculated that if Obama had been sent over to fight in the conflict, he probably would have peed his pants and cried for his mommy as soon as he touched down in Saigon.

Wow, these Vietnam veterans must have been affected by agent orange or something because by my calculations Obama was only 14 or 15yrs old when the war ended.  The war ended in April of 75 and Obama was born in Aug of 61.

LOL,, good one.... I cant stand all these idiots that believe everything they hear. I just read that over 17% of Americans still believe that Obama is a Muslim Terrorist. Thats AFTER McCain said it WASNT true himself.
I dont mind someone voting for McCain, but please make sure you are making an INFORMED decision after watching all debates, following up on all after shows that validate each candidates statements, and going to each of their websites to find out their policies on each subject. The constitution allows us the opportunity to vote, dont misuse it and vote for someone just because some idiot at hunting camp tells you their politic views.

http://www.epinions.com/JL_Audio_10__Componenet_Subwoofer_10W0__Subwoofers_10W0/linkin_id_~3035301/display_~reviews

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=boston+subwoofer&i=065G1104     here is a boston sub,,,you can find them cheaper elsewhere. But only require a .5 - .75 sealed enclosure...It is another example of a sub much better than the sony.

Even Pioneer makes a decent sub. Just do a search on ebay or something, then list on here all the ones that interest you and i will give my opinion as Im sure others will too...Good luck.
5  General / Open Discussion / Re: car audio? whats a good amp for this sub? on: July 11, 2008, 12:26:24 AM
Yea guy, seriously listen to these guys. THat sub is a tota; piece of crap. You can get a lot of shallow mount subs that are better than that for around that price. Bostom makes a nice 10" and even the JL W0 is a much better sub. You dont need a big amp either, just stay away from Jensen, Pyle, Audiovox, in my opinion Audiobahn, and junk like that.
Seriously , by spending only 50$ more for a good sub and amp, you will great A LOT better quality stuff and sound MUCH better.

SAturday we finally broke down and traded my wife 01' Nissan Xterra in for a new Nissan Altima. It was paid off but only getting 16 ish mpg after a good tuneup. The new Altima has gotten about 28 mpg city over the last 4 days.
She was paying about 400$/mo. in gas for her xterra with 100,000 miles and no warranty. We now have a 200$ car payment and she only pays 200$/mo (expected) in gas. S oeither way her total transportation expenditures are still 400/mo, but now she has a new car with full waranty.
As gas rises above 4$/gal, it will actually start being a monthly savigs.

....So I called the LakeWhales location, and they said they no longer had an auto 07 vinson leftover and could not get one...

Do you remember who you talked to? We have had them instock and still do.

Im sorry i dont. But i do remember when I got the Brute from Carlos at the Lake Whales location, you all had 3 black leftover vinsons at that time, but they were 5 spds. Seeing it was for the wife, I preferred the auto. I was still going ot get the black 5 spd like I said, but then they said I could no longer have it for the 4200$ price like they were going ot sell it to me for not even a month before. That is when i called the Hudson store and got the 07 auto from there and they honored the price that I got the first time from the Lake Whales one (and i saved over 100$ gas as they delivered it)
Like i said, not putting anyone down, guess I just talked ot the wrong person at your shop. Ive spent 18g there in the last month and half and love you guys, regardless of which location. Ill look you up next time Im looking for a bike...(please read your pm's, I sent you a question a min ago)
8  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: A Thumbs Up to Josh at Sky Powersports in Lk Wales! on: May 27, 2008, 08:52:02 AM
Bigscrub.... You work at the Lake Whales Sky?Huh? I live in Melbourne (right below Cocoa Beach) so the Lakeland one is a little closer, but they are within 20 min or so of each other right?
I got the 700 Kinguad in Lakeland, the 08 Brute in LakeWhales, and the Vinson from the Hudson location and they delivered it the 3 hrs ot my door last Fri night...Lakeland is about a 2 hr trip one way, os them delivering it saved me 4 hrs of travel time and over 100$ in gas...tHat was pretty cool of them to offer that.

And the reason I didnt go with the Lakeland and Lakewhales location for this vinson purchase is because they (LakeLand) offered me a price on the vinson when I bought the 07 King last month, and when I caleld back to confirm it and tell them I was on ly way out to pick one up, they changed the  price and said they could not do it for that anymore....So I called the LakeWhales location, and they said they no longer had an auto 07 vinson leftover and could not get one...So I called the hudson location, and they had one and agreed to do it...I really wanted to keep my business with you all, but didnt have the bike I needed.
Again, to anyone buying a quad anywhere in driving distance to Sky, I cant say enough good things about them. They honestly saved me at between 4-5 grand over my last 3 atv purchases... You just have ot know how ot be a good (smart) buyer and do your research first...

Keep that Renegade all mudding like in the picture...Kinda looks like the Renegade "X". I almost got one of them and them opted for the new Brute. They are really cool looking quads.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I was all ready to go, then the wife told me Fri night that she wanted a new car. So I had to spend all day Saturday car shopping. Got a great new Altima, but missed all the mud.

12  General / Open Discussion / Re: My new toy!!! on: May 21, 2008, 12:08:08 PM
Not being rude, sorry if it came across that way. Im just saying that that is a lot, thats all. I shopped around the last 2 months and got a New leftover 07 KingQuad 700 with 0 miles from Sky Powersports for 5600 OTD... Id much rather pay 200 more for the 700, and Fri night I got a brand new 07 leftover Vinson 500 Auto DELIVERED to my house from the Sky Powersports by Tampa (I live in Melbourne 3 hrs away) for 4199 OTD......

Its all about shopping around,,,but still the price you paid is good, Im just saying it is high compared to the great deals I got by going through Sky and not agreeing ot pay the rediculous adim fees, dealer fees and all that extra sh1t...

Yes, but HOP is still in business and F*cking ppl everyday...So not a bad idea to get it back to the top in case someone is ready to buy from them soon right?Huh
14  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: A Thumbs Up to Josh at Sky Powersports in Lk Wales! on: May 21, 2008, 11:36:33 AM
I just bought 3 new quads from Sky Powersports. Got one from LakeLank location, one from Carlos in Lake Whales, and my last new one Fri night from the Sky Hudson location.
No one else could touch then in price by close to 2000$ and their friendliness is superior to anyone else Ive ever done business with.
Top notch dealership for sure.
I got a new 08 brute 750, and 07 kingquad 700 (now sold) and a new 07 (leftover) vinson 500 for the wife fri night.
15  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: HOUSE OF POWER IN PALM BAY FLORIDA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: May 21, 2008, 11:33:25 AM
Luke, please dont take this personally, but you are an idiot if you agreed to pay 8500 for a 3 yr old bike in the first place, EVEN if it was 0 miles..That is just rediculous and they obviously knew you didnt know anything about what bikes are worth.
With that said, they are complete ASSH0LES at HOP anyway. I have bought 3 new quads in the last month or two. They have all come from Sky Powersports (they have 3 locations, one in Lakeland, one in Lake Whales, and the other in Hudson (tampa way)) And you will not find a cheaper price ANYWHERE. Each time I got the best price from Sky, then went to HOP (because I live 5 miles away) to see if they could match...Each time they said they couldnt even come within about 2,000$ of the Sky price and that Sky would be changing the pirce once i got there to actually buy. So each time I went ot Sky ot buy and they did not change the deal we had made over the phone. They are straight up ppl there and i got names of who i deal with if anyone wants it.
I then took the sales paperwork back to HOP to prove ot them that i was not lying about the deal I got the time before and to prove that i bought from someone else not local, and they stutteres a lot and really could not come up with a good reason why they are about 2g more on the same exact bikes.....THEY ARE IDIOTS AND RIP OFFS
My brother worked there for a few months when he first moved to Fl as a sales person, and they do not even give their sales ppl a salary, It is commission based, so that is also why you get attacked when you pull into the parking lot by 10-12 sales ppl.
A father came in b4 christmas 2 yrs ago while he was working there and inquired about a 50cc atv for his 5 yr old son for christmas...The price of the bike (which wasnt listed on it was about 1799.) The sales Manager ran his credit for him and found out that he was approved for 2600. So the Sales man rang him up for the 2600 and sent him away from the store with the quad. He paid 800 dollars more than the bike sold for just because he didnt know better and the shop took advantage of him...That is horrible and they should be closed down.
The reality of it is though, that if idiots go there not knowing anything about value of bikes and knowing what the same bike sells for somewhere else, then whos fault iis it really?Huh
Hell is someone wants to give me a grand more than Im asking for anthing Im selling, Id be glad ot take advantage of the situation too.....
STAY AWAY FROM THERE...GO TO SKY
16  General / Open Discussion / Re: My new toy!!! on: May 21, 2008, 11:17:58 AM
WOW, that s a lot of money for an 07 leftover...but as long as you like it, that is all that matters. They are really nice bikes and seem to have a good reliability rating....Congrats

I live in NY most of my life (till I was 34 and moved here), when i was younger, 21-24ish I used to fight in canada a lot. They had an underground league in Montreal. No refs, no rules.
It was illegal of course but it was before all the hype over UFC,Pride, KOTC, etc...
If you ever watched the movie Fight Club, it was very much like that.
After growing up a little and getting my @ss kicked everynight, you will realize that even if you win or lose that particular fight, you are still going to be a world of hurt for the next week or so, especially if the fight goes over a few minuites.
It was a lot of fun I guess (not so much paying hospital bills for broken jaw, broken wrists (x3 times), 2 broken ankes, dislocated shoulder (several times), torn rotator cuff (right), and 3 broken ribs....All that and I was a good fighter. Expect more injuries if you are not a godo fighter.
Things are a little diff now though. There are refs, rules, gloves, no kneeing to a downed opponent, etc....
Good luck and the best advice I can give anyone entering the sport is CONDITIONING, CONDITIONING, CONDITIONING... and when you think you are conditioned enough, then go out and start conditioning.
You may think that sounds redundant, but watch UFC fights...You will see guys that look in great shape that get ot round 2 and are punching and kicking like a 3rd grade girl because they simply have no more breath left...
UFC SATURDAY NIGHT<<<<Cant wait to see Tito get his ass kicked again(I hope)
19  General / Open Discussion / Re: Fires in palm bay no help(pics&video)are up(added the owl) on: May 21, 2008, 10:30:09 AM
I too was down in Plam Bay last week trying ot save my parents house right between Babcock and San Fillipo (sp?)
I live in Melbourne which is 20 15 miles noreth, so my house was in no immediate danger, but they are retired, so I went down and helped them water everythning down, try ot seal everything up because the smoke was horrible, and stayed overnight Monday just to get up every hr to water down the house and woods and lawns of parents house and neighbors house who evacuated. It was definately some scarey stuff. People laugh when those of use that were in the middle of it relate it to a warzone, but those ppl really need ot be thankful that they were not involved in it and not judge... There were a few soldiers who had come back from iraq that were interviewed who said it was worse than anything they have seen over there while on duty so far.....
The firemen came to our door in middle of night and told us we should evacuate however my father is very stuborn and I wasnt going to leave him alone, so he and I stayed and I sent my wife and mom back to our house in Melbourne overnight. I told them we would stay up until the point where we saw the fire entering the lawn. They said that for most fires that was ok, but because it was SO dry and the fires and winds were spresding so fast, that once we say a fire, it was probably going to be too late.
Anyway, thier house made it through everything fine. It was covered in ash and burnt sooty stuff, but nothing a good pressure washing couldnt take care of. They got very lucky.
I hope they take this arson and string him up by his nuts and let everyone that experienced a loss, swing at him with sticks until he is dead......

On a positive note, What do you have for a quad 92Chevy? We will have to get together and ride someday. I own land in Holopaw and often take the quads down to my parents house becuaes some of those back roads are pretty uninhabited down there but always looking for close local places so I dont have ot trailer to Holopaw everytime i want a "quick fix"....
20  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Suburban Estates ride on Sunday on: May 08, 2008, 10:27:11 AM
ASmart---- Hows it going? How is that King treatin ya? To answer your question, they are different and hard to compare. The KingQuad is a more reliable bike in my opinion with PLENTY of power and speed. They have a great 4x4 system and a good belt system. They are a single not a v-twin of course, so they have good top end more than enough low end. They have been out for a while in the 700 cc size, so modding them is also very affordable. Ive had suzukis for about 6 yrs now since the release of the first vinson (in 02' maybe?) and had 3 vinsons and 2 kingquads. Ive never had a single issue with any of them, they are great bikes.
The Brutes on the other hand have an ok 4x4 system. The reason I say ok is because with the suzuki or yamaha, you can engage the differential lock and that is it. With the Brute, you have to hold in the differential lock all the while you want it engaged. Also with the Brute, you have ot have some forward or reverse movement to engage or disengage the 4x4 system, so you better be sure you engage it prior to entereing any mud just ot make sure you dont need it. With the King or the yamahas, you can engage instantly when you need it w/o tire movement.
Also, because the Brute is SSOOOO powerful, it breaks things much easier. Throw as set of 28s or bigger on it with a lift and you have ot be real thumb conscious when using 4x4 and be careful turning in the deep mud or you might likely be snapping your axles, etc...
Also with more power comes more belt issues. THey have a good belt system in my opinion, however the more power somethnig puts out, the harder it is on all those drive parts.
So to answer your question, for me, I like it better as i am a power junkie, but ask me again after I start snapping axles at 350 ea. and I might have a diff answer, lol.
Do I wish I would have kept it instead of selling it?  Yes. I found out the land that I was going to sign for was not yet officialy released from the first bank it went through, so that purchase got all screwed up and I was too hesitant to continue with it after finding that out that monday. So I had to put in a lot more to get the new quad,, but i love it.
Now the GF wants a bigger one. You wanna sell it back to me?

And MudMan,, Ill let ya know next time Ill be there. Would like to meet up with some of y'all and get to meet more ppl on here.
