Quick question as I've been too tied up to call today and seeing as so many of you have dealt with him before...

What was the average cost and turn around time?

I'll be doing a complete shock rebuild, everything but the springs Tongue

Matt text'd me this morning as I was on my way to ThunderX. He said, it
would be from 60.00 to 120.00 per shock. Sometimes just a fluid change and
a nitrogen recharge is all that is necessary. If seals, bump stops etc need
replaced that obviously drives the price up.

Turn around time is about 3 days. Unless you were local, which in that case you
could wait on them while he does them!

HTH's,

It's late(Midnight), I txtx'd him... he didn't reply Sad  LOL

If no one has an answer for you by the time I get back
from riding tomorrow, @ ThunderX, I'll post up his reply.

Most definitely, Matt Blommel(http://www.blommelmotorsports.com).

I've been to his place and have watched him work on my own shocks and other
peoples too! He's very thorough and gets it done right for you.

My PEP's he rebuilt last week had a problem with the rezzies... he got them warrantied
for me!!! I did not buy the shocks originally either Smiley

Give 'em a call (813) 714-1325

I don't know man, I think Kyle would of made for some awesome traction, or put him IN traction,
and set you up B E A U 'tifully for the turn Eric! Decisions, decisions...

Kidding aside, glad both you two are ok Smiley
7  General / Photo Gallery & Videos / Re: my C-Dale on: May 14, 2010, 05:11:14 PM
Very nice quad mon'.  Good job.

I would say that out of all production quads ever made,
it'd be a toss up between a C-Dale 440 and the KTM 450 SX
as to which one would be the best. More specifically, truly
built and designed as a motoX racing quad.

Now, the only problem is.... it's way toooooo nice to ride! LOL
8  General / Racing Scene / Re: Dade City MX Rd. 7 100cc Mini quads on: May 12, 2010, 01:30:08 PM
(remember CLUE):

It was Devin Heimes, at Dade City, in the second moto'... on laps 1 and 2
with the LTR450 SuzOOOKi!

Freakin' AWEsome.

Him and Kyle came through wheel to wheel on the holeshot through both 180
degree turns and over the double before the finish line/table to single. You know
Kyle is very aggressive and wasn't backing down. So... as they both went side by
side wide open headed to the table... one person "lifted" the other well...

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH..... table to single!  Ssssschweeeeeet!

In all honesty, Kyle looked faster in the early laps. It was as if Devin "needed" that
cause Kyle would make it up by the time they came around to the front again.
Especially in the whoops.

Somehow though, after several laps Devin was just checked out. As cool as that was,
Devin's first moto' performance of coming from around 5'th to 1'st was a fun race to
watch as well Smiley

This might have something to do with it:

Quote
The Glen MX will be closed this weekend, due to very low
attendance
past weekends and Easter weekend. Future
schedule and plans to follow.

That's all I've heard about it.

>>I believe Kyle could have givin Devin a run...

Kyle running with Devin... ummmm, well it's good to dream! And dream BIG too.

I don't have second moto times but Devin's quickest lap of 55.382 VS. Kyles
56.854 in the first moto seems to show currently no one has anything for Devin
come race time!

Except... TRX#9, who did have some game in qualifying, as he was the fastest
qualiFLYER W/A 55.403! Nicsheeeeeeee job Erik Smiley

But his speed simply didn't carry over to the racing.

We'll see in about 4 weeks if anyone can mount a challenge for that darn #7 suzook!

I'm usually not a fan of St. Pete, but I raced the SSQSA recently and it's really a
good track layout right now. I spec'd the Tuesday before, was a good time also.
If you haven't been in awhile you should come out. Hopefully the weather will still
be cool tomorrow night. Smiley

15  General / Racing Scene / A bit late but... David Brewer #17??? on: October 14, 2009, 05:30:10 PM
Does anyone know how David is doing? He crashed hard last
Sunday in the second Pro-Am moto at Thundercross.

Wishing him a speedy recovery,

Yeah... Matt(http://www.blommelmotorsports.com/) does an awesome job.
I've been to his house and watched him service my, and a few others,
shocks.

He does quite a few of the Pro/Pro-Am Riders in the state. As well as a bunch
of other racers I know.

Give 'em a call. Best to ya's getting your shocks fixed.

17  General / Racing Scene / Re: quad only radio on: September 10, 2009, 11:40:22 PM
First off I was being light hearted about it. It seems you missed the humor. I
realize now, that given your personal involvement, it did not come off that way
to you. In my defense, you'll notice I did not post any names, facts, OR even MY
own opinion, of the event that unfolded that night.

I was being completely honest when I said it would be "interesting" to hear from
those closest to the event. I had listened to the regular DCMX show and they
were sort of joking about it, reading an email and tossing around the idea of
calling one of the parties involved. So naturally, I thought it would be even more
open in the "quad only" show.

My second post was right on the money, as you stated everyone decided to "take
the high road". Which meant nobody was going to talk much about it, other than
"pleasantries" that is. So when I said I was "amazed", that was the truth. And now
you explained why(Sponsorship considerations).

Quads typically do not have what dirt bikers have due to one reason alone, numbers.
The day when you have as many quads show up to race as you do bikes well, you
will get even treatment. Other than that, we're a minority. And what do minorities do,
ask (some consider it complaining) to be treated the same. Repeatedly.

Other then commenting about your dislike of my post, I think you should have stayed
on the "high road". It seems you had an agreement NOT to talk about it in detail. Now,
one side has been presented, by you in written text on an open forum, while the other
is not. Kind of seems a bit disingenuous.

I get along with most everyone at the track/races. I love watching/riding/every now
and again racing. Even though I understand business-wise the initial "hush hush" of it
all, as a matter of principle I find it hard to accept that things get "swept under the
table". I'm 'ole school for a reason[jus' turned 45]  Wink  Hehe

Be aware that, I do not simply take sides as a matter of who I am friends with. I am
one of the most unbiased persons at the track. For the very simple fact no one out
there is a relative/son/daughter of mine.

In the end, know I truly wish everyone the best as far as racing is concerned Smiley

Well, actually there was one person I didn't feel that way towards, but he quit racing
so I don't have to feel bad about that anymore now do I?!  LOL

Sincerely,
 - Dan

Wow, I'm amazed. Must have been a "gag No. No." order on last weeks.. ummm..
activities, for the most part, 'cause...

...my soda seemed flat, popcorn burnt and instead of "listening in" I fell asleep.
Oh well, there's always next time.

20  General / Racing Scene / Re: Thoughts & prayers for Jake Gunn on: September 02, 2009, 11:36:41 PM
Get well soon mon'. You'll make it through. Stay strong mentally, and then physically
you'll be back sooner than you think Wink

I'll "lend" the lyrics to a song that helped me stay strong when I got seriously hurt:

"I get knocked down... But I get up again... You're never going to keep me down"

I know it's stupid but... you have to find things to help make it better for yourself no matter
what!

Anyway... godspeed your FULL recovery Jake,
 - Dan

P.S.
I don't really like the whole song, just the chorus Wink

I don't know if you "boys" are man enough to run against an old school "R"  Smiley

24  General / Racing Scene / Re: Going to Bostwick Saturday to practice! on: February 18, 2009, 05:16:02 PM
Me and a few other guys are going out to Bostwick Saturday for some practice. I would like to get some more quads out there. I want to see what everyone thinks about this track. I think it would be a nice track to have in the next ssqsa season. The track holds up great and has lots of room for passing, witch means good racing. I'm curacy to see what everyone thinks.

Robert Rodgers #84

'Berta... is THAT you!? hehe

I thought you guys were going to Reddick for the open practice? Jody said he was?

Let me know. Maybe I'll bring the ole "R" up to bost'.
