1  General / Racing Scene / Re: 6 hour endurance race on: December 05, 2007, 09:51:17 PM
Its official the race date is January 19 - 20.  More info and rules to follow.
Is this race FTR sanctioned and scored?  Who or what group is responsible for making all the plans, dates, rules, etc.? I think the date will kill either the quadscramble or the 6hr race, they will both suffer attendance.
When will we get details? If the race is going to be that soon shouldnt the details already be ironed out.

this is not a FTR event as for sanctioned trying to find that info out as I type

I JUST SAW ON ANOTHER SITE THAT THE LAND OWNER HAS PLANTED OATS ON THE PROPERTY IN JAX. SO THE CLUB IS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PIECE AND MAYBE A DATE PER DAN GEORGE. SO MAYBE THIS RACE ISN'T A FACTOR. CHUCK8A

I have heard about a location change but other than that, "heard" is the key word.

It says 3-4 man teams and bikes, so it should be 3-4 riders 3-4 bikes, correct?

correct

but if your on a team do you each have a quad or is it one of those you ride two hours then stop then he rides two hours kinda deal.

three man team three quads or bikes. each man rides his own quad/bike. This way you are not riding a bike that you are not familiar with and one bike is not trashed from the  hours of hard racing.
5  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR Quad Scramble #4 Venice!! Nov 17th on: November 23, 2007, 09:20:46 PM
Was at the race in Venice, didn't race but watched as unable to race do to a back injury. Thought the race was perfect and the weather as well.

Have read the post here and on the FTR site regarding the race. Must say that all are totally positive. Would have to say that all thought it was a great race.

Have one complaint however. Everyone has been thanking everone from FTR and Sarasota Quad Riders but not one has thanked just-add-dirt. It is my understanding that the property is owned by the owner of just-add-dirt and that they to did alot of work in making this race a great race. I was informed that it was them that brought in the vendors and band and that they to assisted in the making of the race course. Not one thank you has been directed towards them. What gives here.
I would post this on the FTR site as well but I amnot a FTR member so I guess I will have to do it here and on just-add-dirt.

Hey guys at just-add-dirt. Thank you, and great job.
