5a is  the best when its dry, it opens up alot of trails that you normally wouldnt dare ride on any sport quad, and i usually ride alone b/c of dust when its like this, anyways no one can ever keep up with me!

anyone been lately? how dry is it? loop trail to moose pond dry?

I do have the 05 42mm 450r carb already, how much different is that from the 07?

   I think the 05's didnt have an fcr??? and i mic'd my carb, its physically a 41mm. heres a pic of it. dirty as hell, been sittin in a bin since my 511 with 43.5 came home.lol

I think where its mounted on mine, a draw through would be to much for the system, the charge piping might be to long for it?

If I can find a piece of pipe or something to down size the inlet to the carb size, I may try it?

Id need to down size from like 3in to 1 1/2 in, might go to lowes tomorrow and see what I can find?

I just feel weird having the fuel run through the turbo, then through all the charge pipe, starting and low idle running may be a lil rough?

it can be done with a draw through, but remember fuel air mix has to go out the blow off valve back into the carb throat, causing a rich surge, if you have a accelerator pump you can turn it way down to combat the rich surge. if your drag racing put on an airshifter so you never have to let off the gas, no surge. but it does work, a bunch of airboaters in CFL runs these setups with confidence. one guy changes jets half way through the day for weater and power just so he can go where he wants and not get stuck.

i have a stock carb left over from my 511R project, its off an 07 450R, 42mm FCR, it has an accelerator pump, may work well for your application. I can let it go for 150 shipped complete carb... if you need it.

if i were you i would try it, from my experience I have seen it work many times.

no its not a stock cam its a stage 2 who the hell would do all the work and not chang the cam.

  thats good, webs make lots more power but are hard on things.....ill be going back to a HC3 soon, valves dont last in this thing!!!

Do you have a drag strip close by? does orlando speed way let quads run? I would like to know how bad that would beat me? Im sure by good bit!! but I would like to know by how much?

I dont know if orlando speed world lets quads run, thats a good question. I had it a a event once there once at the mud hole side, they let me run it down the 300' once but the pos timers werent working but people said it was fast, i said i was in 4 th and just  spinning crazy through the trap. need paddles for draggin.
       how much faster, who knows?? gotta get out there and have fun doin it, thats all that matters, but it is nice to beat CRF's

   and just to make it nice ill tell you: 100mm bore ice cube decked .0025",venom 15:1 piston, KBR/venom ported head with +1 exhaust valves, CRF head gasket, +3 hotrods crank, web 943 cam, 43.5mm taper bored fcr carb, rage racing Ti. exhaust tokyo mods piggy back cdi box. and she sips 110 leaded race gas. oh and BTW your HMF pipe sucks, get a sparks i know they build a bad ass pipe for the 400.

me and my best bud are gonna do a trip this fall, we were supposed to go this spring till my 450R took a dump, but it should be fixed soon enough. ive never been to any real dunes yet but i cant wait!!! lets get a big group to go, it would be a blast, let me know...

closeest "real dunes" are in waynoka oklahoma, about 1500 miles from central florida. youlll find a lot of sand here in florida, but not anything i would call dunes, although there is some great riding, not as much as in the past due to land development and all the idiots that ruin it for us. ocala was great when you could ride there but now its like riding on a designated highway with speed limits and so much BS its not funny, any time im there and see a ranger i immediatley turn around and ride as fast as possible until i know im far enough away so they wont harrass me, otherwise you WLL get a ticket for not doing any ting wrong, IMO there doing a great job of shuttin it down for us, and its supposed to make the whole riding situation better, thats some BS if i ever heard it. my buddy got a $170 ticket for riding with his sand star paddles, because of the 1" tire law now in effect..lol....straight bull$h!t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuel, Health care & Insurance are really hurting my business.

I've never seen it so bad. Even after 9-11 it was tough but things could still get worse. We didn't have the housing disaster after 9-11 to deal with. Florida got lucky and has had a big boost with the last few years with housing construction. And that has kept Florida alive. But with new construction in the dumps, alot of people are just struggling to get by. 

The price of fuel is crippling business. People aren't traveling, all the products we buy are all going up. And they aren't going down anytime soon. We're getting used to paying $3.25 - $3.75 a gallon. Wait till next year when it'll probably go up to $4.

The crooks in washington are not going without anything. The president hasn't done anything to help the fuel costs. Oh sorry he's an oil guy that has only a few more months in office to make some money for his friends in the oil business. His second term he really jammed us hard. The only positive thing I see is that the interest rates are still low trying to stimulate the economy.

Why is diesel fuel at $4 a gallon when it doesn't cost as much to refine as a gallon of gas. 

I support the troops but the cost of this war is way out of hand IMO.  It's in the trillions right now without and end in sight.

The US dollar is worth less that ever. The country is at is a big turning point with an election comming up. I hope thing will just get better. The next president will left with a big pile of crap to deal with. Who would want that job......Republicans Democrats there all in it for the $$$$.

I really dont think i could have said it better, i own a door and window/ glass shop in orlando, and all we do for the most part is existing homes renovations, and even that has dropped to zip. people have just stopped spending money. maybe fuel prices, maybe the fact that nobody has any work anymore, hell, ive had a half dozen guys call the office looking for work in the past week. my main window manufacturer, PGT, based in florida, has laid off literally hundreds of employees. And the worst thing, i dont think weve hit botom quite yet...and ya know summer is coming and were due for a hurricane or two.<-----its funny, more people break  windows  putting up plywood than the hurricane does itself...lol

go through florida city to card sound road, get on card sound south and its the first left (a dirt road) after you get on card sound. go down maybe a half mile and theres a trail to the hump. you can google earth it, it looks really dry in the satellite when that pic was taken

bad news my bike i guess wont be fixed now cuz the honda guys forgot to order a bearing for the starter that went out, this sucks! Its all under warranty but i wanna ride!!!
