1  General / Open Discussion / Re: off brand bikes on: May 21, 2008, 06:36:48 AM
Yeah chevy I wanted a new bike. I was getting back into riding and didnt know if I would like a quad down here. I grew up in Maryland. So it is a little diffrent riding lol. The only reason I bought this bike is that it was sitting right next to a honda 300ex. So I looked over both of them for awhile. The only thing that worried me when I got it was how long the engine will last. The quad is built very well. It was in my price range and I figured if I blew it up I would do a gixxer swap or something with it. But I have had it for about a year and a half now and it runs like a champ. I know that 10 years down the road wont most likely be running but it did it purpose and I really enjoy it.

Tom

PS kinda funny that kid didnt post anymore.

Not all of them are bad lol. You would really be suprised with the quailty of mine. I also spend 2800 instead of 1500. I was thinking I was going to have a gixxer power quad but I cant seem to blow it up lol. But it has all the goodies compared to the other ones. It has SS brakelines, Disc brakes all around, Adjustable shocks, better chain, chain gaurds, Alum rims, Jap style swing arm not the typical box steel stuff, beefed up axle. Only thing I am bummed about is no nerf gaurds lol. I will have to get some pics for you guys. I beat the heck out of it and it still runs like a champ

Chevy is right. You shouldnt have joined the forum and then tried to sell a bike right away. First off I want to say I Ride a Roketa. It is alot nicer one then the one you are selling. No offence. I use to sell them. They are a good product if you buy the right ones. But you are trying to sell a basic 250cc watercooled for what you can buy a new one for. Dude that is no going to get you any loving here. The first few post that people made on this trend are true. We are all one big family. They treat me just fine here even though my bike is a off brand make. Its all how you post man. I have a typhoon 125 that I havent gotten any bits on yet. But I dont force my sale. I have only had one problem with a little punk and a mod took care of that for me. This is a great site to be on and sell bike. But the fact of the matter is one you are asking to much money for a used Roketa. Face it dude It worth half of what you are asking. 2nd I have never heard of roketa giving life time warr. with there bikes. The model you bought is a low cost trail quad. I just sold my last one of them brand new for $1000. Due to be  forced to shut down a good running shop. But that is a story for another time. 3rd A bike without a title now a days is worth only a few bucks to most of use. Like I said this is not bashing you. This is just the cold hard truth about these bikes. I would suggest that you find somewhere that is more china friendly to sell that thing. But even there people do there homework most of the time.

cool let me know i live right up by mariner and springhill drive. Maybe we can get together and ride some. I have heard thaty some parts of white hurst is not bad. but I know a few people that ride there and say they get buged. But hey maybe there is a reason the cops give them a hard time lol.
6  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Hernando County area? on: May 11, 2008, 09:37:44 PM
dssam I know both places you are talking about. The one north of weeki wachi is a big pit. I use to have a landscape shop up that way and ride there. My landscape shop was right down the road from there and was sold. The guy that bought the land that my shop was on is a jerk to say the least. He hates quads and dirt bike or anything like that. He told me i couldnt story my quad there anymore. Then he started calling the cops on people. He lives in woodland waters there so he keeps an eye out. It suck that people are jerks lke him. Then on the east side of the road just north of that there is white hurst. You will get in trouble there it iw swift mud property. But I have ridden north of the big pit on the left hand side just north of where  they are building that publix. Never have seen anyone out there. Dont know who owns it. IT has water retention ponds and wide trails. Almost like firelane breaks. The Oakhill powerlines is a big no no. This is also swiftmud property. I hear it is killer riding though lol. I would be intrested in finding out if anderson snow is watched. East road of county line has some spots you can ride but i hear that is a hot spots for cops sometimes.

busta nutt more info please. Have you ever been buged up there. what type of riding. where on cobb is it. I know cemex and rinker have mines up that way. if it by them. thank.

what sand pits you talking about rebel.

Busta nutt where is the plant you are talking about.

I know of a place in north pasco but thats it. I use to ride the sand pit north on 50 on 19 but A guy that bought some property up there is a jerk and calls the cops now. So becareful if you go there. Anyone ever ride out at anderson snow. Some one told me that is a nice place to ride. But I dont know if you get in trouble.

My father has one he likes it. I think there are better ones out there. Like my brother has a windows based LG phone that is alsome. I feel the blackberry is to hard to navigate for me to bother with it.

I have to differ with sick. I ride and sell Roketa. They are a good bike. There are not as many after market part avalible for them as other brands right now. Go to chinariders.net and ask for help there. You have to remember that roketas  are not one of the big four so you now own a black sheep. But they are starting to make there way up throught the pack. Some companys are starting to make aftermarket parts but they are few and far between at this time. But give it alittle bit. and make sure you check you bike over. B/c alot of the return stuff is due to lose bolts. We have had a few broughthere from a dealer that went out of business with those problems.
13  General / Tech Corner / Re: where to find zuma atv parts? on: October 24, 2007, 12:41:35 PM
Well you could contact redcat or you can go over to chinariders.com and ask them. but what model is it you might be able to get an after market one. do you know you engine number. I know that it is on the vin number plate on roketas. That should tell you who makes the motor and would be more helpful. If you can get me that info I might beable to help if it is one of the same engines roketa uses since I am a roketa dealer.

16  General / Open Discussion / off brand bikes on: October 20, 2007, 11:15:18 PM

I would love to get a section for us to talk and ask questions. I also help that some of the jap guys see that we a all riders and are willing to help with replacement parts help.

19  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: one hell of a great dealership on: October 18, 2007, 06:09:11 PM
My father and I both bought are street bikes through them. But I bought mine a few months after him. We were sitting in the fin office and the lady turned to him and said how do you like you c90. I was like how did you know he had one. She told me she just remembers stuff like that lol. I find them some great people. I would buy from them again.
20  General / Tech Corner / Rim question on: October 17, 2007, 10:18:41 PM
How do I find out my lug pattern. I have a Roketa and want to know how to figure out what size bead locks to buy. I take it that you messure from hole to hole cross rim. But if that is correct then what part of the holes do I messure to. Thanks for your help guys.

We ran karts back in the mid 90s. I got to see a 125 shifter cart run and wow. It laid a 40 yard patch of rubber. Thats all the more power you need. It had more then enough and you could still drive the thing like a real kart. unlike that thing.
23  General / Open Discussion / Re: how are roketa quads? on: September 01, 2007, 07:57:15 PM
I have the 300cc sport quad from them. I have been riding since I was 4 and have ridden alot of bikes. I wanted to get back into riding from a couple of years of beening out of the dirt scene. So I picked up one of these. they where cheap and I was like what the heck let try it. Well I got to say I love it. I have put mine through some steps. I have done 12 hill climbs with about 2-3 foot of vert with about a 10 foot run. Today because of the ran I decided to go play in some water and it ran just fine. I have also jumped it about 20 so feet and Im a 250IB man. and it had done fine. Hope to get it on some bigger stuff soon. Now the things I dont find cheap about it is. I need to put a vent hose on it for the trans. The seat keep coming off and I got really big zip ties and just zipped it down and it is fine now. I also didnt like the hose clamp on the intake so I changed it.

Now with that being said. I bought a 06 300cc for 2600 put like 20 bucks into the hose clamps and zip ties. Now I got a bad little bike I can ripe around on.

Hope that helps. But that is just my 2 cents.
