Not Rancho but here in Hudson. And it has only gotten this bad since Rancho got shut down this last time. And you would lose that bet Pepito. It is from the weekend riders that are NOT local. The locals don't trailer in and park. Actually the majority of the people that park and ride come in with Pinellas county plates. It doesn't really matter where they come from other than outsiders tend to be a lot less respectful when riding away from home. ENJOY IT DON'T DESTROY IT!
It doesn't matter where you come from, if you brought it in take it out with you!!!

Gearing is only gonna get you one or the other ( speed or power )
One tooth on the front is equall to about 4 teeth on the rear.
if he isn't maxing the r's out in 5th gear the majority of the time I would say drop down one in the front, If he is riding most of the time pinned out in 5th then I would go up in the front one tooth!

I have never had a problem getting my permit for my quads. I have an enclosed trailer and they have never even asked me to open the doors. Only thing I have ever had to show them was my Vin Numbers and my rivers license. normally I don't stop at the gate just wave as I go by, not now they stop you and verify you have your stickers now, when I was there not to long ago waiting for someone to get there sticker, some guy came thru with and enclosed and they made him open it up so they could see the stickers.

I've had a few gents tell me there's some good stuff to ride just north of Hernando town, where the road splits take the left fork and it's up there by perhaps a mile.
My question is, being a british expat is it legal?
Does my bike need the wee yellow sticker? I know there's croom nearby but the $65 a year is a little offputting before I've tested my bike etc.
Thoughts?
croom stickers are only 40.00 now ( i believe ) they are 60.00 in july and go down every 1/4 of a year!!

I was on several of the lettered trails: A, T, Q, R that I remember for sure. Whoops so bad you would need a bull dozer to flatten them. I honestly like the trails at Dirty Foot Mud Ranch much better. I'll still go up to croom during the week when Dirty Foot is closed but I'll stick to the very back where the technical trails through the mining pits are, and maybe on my way out stop at the front pit just to get some air under the tires.
go to the lettered trails north of the back pavilion. (north of the mines)

they are grooming all the lettered trails. The A trail only takes a few days to get whooped up again. Most of all the trails in the north end are flat and and some can run 5th pinned out!!!!!

Was there still a old bronco stuck out in the back with the rear tire up in the air off the ground? I was there yesterday and I had a blast. Everyone was really friendaly and it is HUGE. I rode witha rew people that live out there and this is what they tolf me:
It was supposed to be a neighborhood/subdivision. They started tearing down the forest (the unfinished roads are what's left) and they found an endangered turtle species and they were forced to stop construction.
I loved it out there. lost of trails, mud pits, open areas. There are places to ride alone or with people. HUUUGE
I am goign this weekend agian if anyone wants to join

I don't think its really a priority, as they say in the workshop that it is a long time problem area and that at that point they don't have any solutions. But it is something that they are aware of. With all the budget cuts I'm sure their level of priority for rancho has dropped drasticly! They also state that they cant really tresspass anybody because they don't know whos land is whos because there is not many of the propterties that have been surveyed!!!
