General / Open Discussion / Re: Is anyone interested in a street legal atv?

yes i wasted my time reading this post and now im doing it again. the atv's wont hold up to that kind of riding
Why wouldn't a quality built ATV hold up to street riding? I've been riding a Vinson 4x4 and a Raptor 700 over some really rough off road trails for over 5 years with no break downs so I'm pretty confident they would both hold up to normal (legal) street riding. I would love to be able to put some tags on mine! What's wrong with making an effort?

Anyone on here been married (to the same lady) longer than me? Been married 38 years and still going strong. We do everything together... except riding ATVs. She quit riding with me 2 years ago when she got muddy and a spider crawled on her...

Legal or not, ATV riders are going to continue to ride there as long as they can get away with it. It was my favorite local place to ride but I stopped going there after the first warning from police. That fire is going to be hard to get control of with no rain in the forecast and the smoke is very thick this morning!

I had a permit there 06-10 but didn't renew 2011 due to health problems. Some of my best rides were there! The permit process isn't difficult and the inspection was more for your own safety. Even with the rules it's a great place to ride and enjoy the beauty of the Everglades. It's worth spending $50 just to try it out!

A couple was Christmas shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve and the mall was packed. Walking through the mall the surprised wife looked up and noticed her husband was no where around and she was very upset because they had a lot to do. She used her cell phone to call her husband because she was so upset, to ask him where he was. The husband in a calm voice said, "Honey, remember the jewelry store we went into 5 years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we could not afford and I told you that I would get it for you one day". His wife said crying, "Yes, I remember that jewelry store".He said, "Well, I'm in the bar next to it.

The Humps.. Is this place legal? I'll have my 5 year old with me so running from the cops isn't an option.
I was stopped by fwc on the back side of the hump simply to see if I had registration stickers for the Atv's, other than that he said riding is okay there as long as under 16 year olds are wearing helmets The same thing has happened to me back there a few times but never had a problem. I've also seen them make arrests and confiscate quads. Beware, Homestead police will arrest anyone they catch riding on the streets.

No shortage of thieves out there!
That's an understatement and their numbers are growing. I've lost 3 bicycles lately and they stole the tailgate off my truck last week.....

It may have a lein on the title if it was financed and never paid off. You may be able to check out the status of the title on the DMV website using the VIN, if it was originally purchased in FL.

I wish I had kept it locked but the thought never occurred to me that someone would steal a tailgate. I live in a good neighborhood with an active crime watch program. The theft took place in my driveway which is well lighted. It really sucks how bad stealing has gotten. Something has to be done or more thieves are going to be killed by armed, pissed off victims.
I'll give Rocco's a call, thanks......
