General / Where to Ride? / University of Florida Ocala Study
|

A few weeks ago while riding at Lake Delancey I was approached by two UF students and asked to fill out a survey, I agreed. Today I recieved another survey from the School of Forest Resources and Conservation and like before, I filled it out and returned it. The surveys questions were directed mostly to O.H.V. and ATV enthusiasts. The point of contact for the survey is an Associate Professor at 352-846-0860. This phone number was on the survey for diect responses, so I assume it's OK for me to post it. Anyway, if you're looking to voice your opinions about ATV use in Ocala National Forest, here's your chance! P.S. If you do call please be NICE

Hey Wayne, how long does it take you to get to the sandbox? You guys made it sound like so much fun I might just have to see you guys there. The ride is all welded up and ready to roll! I'll be going to Lake Delancey this Sat. early in the A.M. just to make sure I don't have any hidden kinks to work out on the bike. If anyone wants to go, feel free to join us at the new trail head early Sat.

General / Open Discussion / Re: why you ride with a buddy
|

I too am now a huge believer in the buddy system! Thanksgiving night I was tightening a few bolts and an oil plug on my quad and decided to take a short ( quarter mile) ride down the dirt road to see if Oil would still blow past the plug. Two hours later some friends realized I was missing. I was lying at the end of the driveway passed out. For some reason my bike had rolled a few times and I took one to the head that knocked me out. don't even remember the crash. I'm just now getting over the headaches!

Yes. When you cash the check definately write that under your signature. I've recently discovered that EVERYTHING legal comes down to little things like that! Also, if they owe you less than $250 it will probably cost you more than you are owed if you decide to pursue it legally. We just paid a lawyer $200 just to write a letter in a case somewhat similar to yours. Good luck!

hey man, I just put a Pro Design kill switch on my 06 Predator . the short wire on the kill switch gets grounded to the frame and the long one goes to the white wire with the red stripe coming off the stater. I got the techs at the local dealership to help me find the correct wire from the stater, spliced it in and everything worked fine. IM me if you have any problems. Before you mount the switch, make sure your wire is long enough to reach the stater. I had to move mine down the bars a little. P.S. make sure your bike is the same as mine! I don't know if yours is different or not!

I'm starting to realize that not making it to Okeechobee last weekend may have been for the best. Sounds like everybody got run over by someone else! You guys would have had me laid up like Gerrard after Monday nights game. LOL

The Outlaws will be there....after working all day on the quad to see HOW much damage was done after getting bucked off by a damn tree yesterday at Chipley...Funny how that tree wasn't there at practice or the 1st lap......was great up until then....out front and pull away...then I seen dust from the group in ft of me and new I was catch'em....just as I caught a glipse of'em Bam ...tree jumped right out in ft of me... ... Tip of the hat to the TTR for making an Endoro Cross section...that was a great section...you could go throught it or take the longer high road around it...anfway it was fun.... A 1st....A 2nd... and a last.... I feel your pain outlaw. You and your son Darren were a great help to me in my first race. When we arrived at the track my quad had only been out of the truck for maybe 2 minutes and you guys were already turning wrenches on it trying to help me me get everything just right. Anyway, it was painfull to see you there on the side of the trail w/a busted front end! Sorry I couldn't make it to Okeechobee, but I will definately see you in Jacksonville! ( I'm finally finished licking my wounds!) Hope you guys blew it up at Okeechobee!

4 in a row if you count the Hare Scramble in Chipley....Hey Rooster, read where you are going to go racing with us...if you are intrested in going to Chipley, we have room in our 24' hauler for another quad...PM me or stop by Cycle Gear Tues-Wed-Thurs. ask for Wayne...I'm there 10/6. Would love to have ya come race..
Also read about what you might need to race and you talked to a great racer that will not steer you wrong Ole MUD-N-UR-I himself...This is our 1st year and we have met some awefully good people!!!
We just bought the necessary stuff to race...FTR membership...AMA or ATVA membership...kill switch...number plates and already had Nerf bars and riding gear. just wanted to make sure it was something we wanted to do before we started spending alot of money on extras...
We race stock quads and will add extras as we can afford to do so...whole family races so 1 quad at a time...anyway PM me or come by and less go racing
Sounds good to me! My fiance is trying to decide whether or not she wants to go. She wants to go but shes trying to figure out what to do with the dog for the night/weekend. If we can nail down our plans and she comes we might just caravan behind you guys. If she doesn't go I may be in need of company. Thanks a lot for the offer!! I'm ready to get one under my belt!

Man what a bummer. In Mandarin, which is on the S W corner of Jacksonville there has been over 24'' of rain in the last 16 days, 12'' of which came in the last 2 days. Wonder if the WW Ranch cows are still there, much less the trails.
