I don't get it we live in a state where it is beautiful to ride all day long and see lakes animals and things we are supposed to be able to explore because they are on public land. But we are not allowed because we tear up the forest on an ATV and supposedly have no respect for nature. I do not get how we can not ride on a dirt road in the forest because we might destroy an important habitat. But the foresty service can go out and clear a 10 acre section of forest if it puts money in there pocket. I am sure that a level barren part of the forest is great for the habitat. So they build us a trail section of smooth riding area that you go both ways and any god rider can do all of the trails in one day. Plus I know that a utility ATV doesnt want to ride on a 15 mile dirt trail that dirt bikes have been on because you will get wiplash or seasick because of all the woopty doos(sp) but either way that is where we have to ride. And furthermore I live in the great county of Marion where they ban the riding of atv's on dirt roads completely no matter how many people were for it but they will let a 90 year old drive a golf cart completey drunk down the side of a main road. How is that fair to someone who goes out and buys an ATVfor recreation and is not allowed to recreiationaly use it in their area. I mean we have to drive hours to ride and/or buy into places where we cant do anything but own a key and take only a few people with us. And more on the forestry service and there trail system it is a good idea not a very safe one but a good one think about the fact you have sport quads dirt bikes and utility quads all on the same trail going diffrent directions "but of course they will all go a safe speed" How long till there is a head on collision some one gets hurt or even a little kid gets hit while they are learning to ride because yeah even a little kid has nowhere to even learn to ride short of the deep sugar sand of the power lines (if thats not closed yet) and a trail were all the thousands of ORV's have to ride. So there going to build another trail system then we will have 2 days of rideing and will have seen it all. why dont they make the trail system miles and miles long have it go by lakes swimming areas and so on so there is more to do than a monotanous ride for 20 miles or so make it a challage for people make it something worth driveing to go do. They are talking about doing a yearly fee to ride there trail system people arent going to want to ride on boreing trail system esspecially if they have to pay to do it. And the ways that they are closeing stuff makes no sense they stop ATV's by putt up signs to make trails numbered roads so we could not ride them but now everyone rides them trucks jeeps and even cars but a 4 foot wide 4 wheeler trail was bad now it is an 8 foot wide road but they stopped us from useing it and then the other ones they did was put up signs that say foot travel only like people are walking 20 miles from a main road. Well thanks for reading if you made it all the way through sorry so random.
