I E-MAILED THE DIRECTOR FOR PARKS AND RECREATION,INQUIRING ABOUT THE BOARD MEETING.(THRE WAS PERMITTING ISSUES)  I WAS TOLD THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISIONERS APPROVED THE RELATED ITEMS, BUT THE ATV PARK ,"WAS STILL A FEW WEEKS AWAY"  SO THERE IS SOME LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL IN COLLIER COUNTY FOR ATV RIDERS.

I SENT AN E-MAIL TO THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION INQUIRING ABOUT THE PROPOSED COLLIER ATV AREA. HE REPLIED TO AND SAID THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH PERMITTING FOR THE TEMPORARY SITE AND THAT THE ISSUE WAS TO GO BEFORE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS  ON THE 24TH. SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL STILL HAPPEN.

it may be in the works.....hope and pray....

i did a google search also and found a power point presentation, and swflwm document on the area, so i think it may be in the works. i was wondering if any other info was out there.

has any one heard if the collier atv park is to  actually open? (fees, rules, regulations, park hours)  i tryed to search the county website and found nothing really relevent. the only info i found was from the naples daily news. here is the link to the naples daily news article if anyone is interested. please post if it is open and if it is any good...

 Has any one heard anything new about the supposed collier county atv area?
There was an article about it last month in the Naples Daily News. It mentioned a temporary spot in the north east part of the county near the hendry county line. It was supposed to be temporary until the Lake Trafford area could be "cleaned". I believe the article stated that the temp site could be opened by the end of April. Any new info would be appreciated
