General / Open Discussion / Re: Reputable Mechanic? - Orlando Area

Sloans Automotive on Michigan near Ferncreek. Very reputable and won't do any non needed work. I used to do all my own mechanic work, however with the new cars its just not cost effective (and because everything is electronic) for me to do my own work anymore

do you guys think it would be ok for her to ride this weekend (won't get a chance to check it out before)...just trail riding...no mud. I know been on a few rides since noticing this problem. If its the fan sensor, will that prevent the temp light from coming on if for some reason it gets too hot..
Thanks

General / Tech Corner / 2006 rancher fan questions
|
on: February 26, 2008, 03:21:08 PM
|
I have a 2006 rancher 350 and the fan does not seem to be coming on. Its used to but I don't believe its coming on anymore (wife rides bike and it's hard getting answers from her) I checked the fuse and thats ok. I don't have an overheating problem yet, I just don't see fan coming on anymore. Any suggestions??
Thanks

General / Open Discussion / Re: you know those large 55gal drums made of plastic?

Flyingdog is right..I e-mailed Orlando Drum and this was their response... We have new, reconditioned and used for the following prices. $40.00, $30.00, $20.00. These are all tight heads. If it is for drinking or potable water you can only use new drums. They are in stock and ready for pick up. Our hours are Mon-Fri 8:00-11:30 and 12:30-4:00. Thanks, Keith $40.00 for a new drum for drinking is a small price to pay...better than risking using a drum from an unknown source (for drinking that is)

When I clicked on the "where to ride" section of the forums, I had an Ad aware virus threat pop up. I use NOD32 and have never got a virus while using NOD32 (3 yrs.) NOD32 was able to eliminate the threat but I just thought I would let everyone know what just happened to me..

Reminds me of my son in Ocala. He got ahead of me on a trail on his 90 and got out of site...when I caught up to him his bike was upside down with all four wheels spinning and he was off to the side waving his arms like I would not see him. I never saw the wipe out, but he and the bike were ok...

General / Open Discussion / Suburban estates vs. River Ranch
|
on: October 10, 2007, 03:54:15 PM
|
I am considering purchasing land at either river ranch or suburban estates and wanted some input from people who have been to both. I am leaning toward river ranch because I would like to set up a camp there and I have been told that it is somewhat safer to do this at river ranch rather than suburban. However Suburban is much closer to me (15 mi vs. 80 miles). RR seems to be somewhat me family friendly than suburban. Any thoughts would be great.

Bought my wifes then new 06 350 rancher for $3,250 otd from ARS, he had only a few left and was trying to dump them . I drove from Narcoossee about 1hr each way but it was well worth it. They are out in the middle of no where but worth the drive. I wish I could have bought my 650 brute from them but they don't sell Kawasaki.

My wife and I live in Narcoossee and I am interested in purchasing in Holopaw, however I would like to at least ride go out there maybe for a day and check the place out. I know that they lock the gate and I don't know anyone who owns property to let me in. Any suggestions?

I have a TTR-90 for my daughter and it does great for her..and my nephew (5yrs) has the TTR-50 which is a reliable bike and he loves it. Sometimes I ride the TTR-90 up to the mailbox (when I'm too lazy to pull out my bike) I'm 6'4" and weigh 230 lbs and is pretty quick with my lard butt on it. However the neighbors laugh when I fly by

I have read on other posts about this place...would it be too risky to attempt to ride without being a landowner?
