By word of mouth I was told that recently there was a newspaper article about Holey Land. Is this true? If so what was the article about and can u post a link?
i searched sun sentinel and miami herald site but came up with nothing.
here is the article Vehicles, motorcycles and airboats are welcome again in parts of the Everglades where they had been banned because of drought conditions, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said today. Recent rainfall has increased water levels at Everglades wildlife management areas, making the special regulations no longer necessary. Vehicles and airboats are now allowed in the Holey Land and Rotenberger WMAs and in part of the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor WMA in Water Conservation Area 3A north of Alligator Alley, the commission said. Vehicles are allowed on the L4, L5 and Miami Canal levees to access boat ramps for fishing in canals. Campfires are again allowed in the Holey Land and Rotenberger WMAs and part of Everglades and Francis S. Taylor WMA in Water Conservation Area 3A north of Alligator Alley.

As long as you have NOT financed more then $5000 you do NOT need insurance and if you choose to ride in Florida without your helmet you MUST have Insurance to cover YOUR BODY and proof of or its a ticket.

it is closed during daylight hours for hunting and is open for riding at nite only . It is wet and I wouldnt go off the levee to far without 4x4 but the trails around the lake should be fine for sports.

And please put up some signs to direct as to were trails and things are. I attended the Mardi gras also and thought it was kinda expensive for the day and I heard about trails yet couldnt find them and then I attended the ATV ralley and heard all about trails and again didnt see any.
The place is very nice but for a 2 hour drive ,then get hit with $40 cash or $30 per person at Mardi Gras and then drive around a big mud pit with no trails gets real old real fast and is the main reason I didnt go up to Mudfest as I heard it was similiar to L-cross.
