1  General / Where to Ride? / Save the holey lands, tell fwc what you think on: September 25, 2007, 09:14:06 PM
I saw this info on another post and wanted to bring it everyones attention (again). The FWC is considering a rule change for the HoleyLands area that would prohibit recreational riding. They also have a comment form where you can express your thoughts on the changes. Please use the link and tell them to save this area for recreational atv use.

scroll down to the holeylands section, and rottenberg section.

I have a cabin in murphy, and just got back yesterday. we rode at a ohv area in blairsville, ga called davenport, its a small area as compared to tellico, i belive its about a 5 mile loop we had one sport bike withus and did see another out there, the trail is narrow so not much room for speed though. If you go to tellico the main trail (trail 1) is fine for a sport bike. Check out www.atvnc for other areas.
4  General / Tech Corner / Re: replaced front pads, now brakes are kinda soft ? on: April 06, 2007, 09:42:33 AM
they are sintered, not organic, but i did buy them on ebay, i guess ill find out after i put a few hours on it, and see if they brake in, if not it will be time for new brake pads again.

I just replaced the front pads on my 06 bruin 350, the original pads were gone after 25 hrs. Everything went fine, but now the front brake doesn't seem as strong as it was, still stop but not as well as the old pads. The lever feels solid, i never opened the system so i dont think it needs bleeding, do the new pads need some time to break in ?, i used sintered pads as i heard the last longer ? I did not remove the cap on the hydraulic reservoir when i squeezed the pistons back, could that be a problem ?
Thanks
