Not just tuners, anything with what they call the hella flush stance. Basically wheels that are flush with the outside body, usually crazy offsets and nicely modded cars.

General / Open Discussion / Gator attacks quad pictures?!

Quite a bit ago I remember a guy posting the pictures when he was riding through that place thats a swamp and a gator grabbed ahold of his front bumper. As it was happening he took pictures. It was a red 4x4 if I recall with a black rack bumper type thing that was mangled a bit from the gator. I had the pictures saved but I cant find them anymore and nobody believes me about this one haha just my luck. So does anybody remember the thread name or maybe they have the pictures saved?

At the very least buy the K/N recharger kit and follow the directions.
The best thing for your engine though would be to throw that filter in the trash and buy a quality foam filter. Nothing filters better than a PROPERLY OILED foam filter.
I beg to differ. Foam filter + Sand = FAIL. Seriously I hate foam for the sand it gets clogged and will start to pass the stuff through. When i had one I would be bogging by the end of the day. K&N breathe easy all day and my intake is always clean with a prefilter on the K&N Whatever, I think I give foam filters a pretty good test. NOTHING is as grueling and dusty as harescramble racing. K/N filters keep engine builders in business. I've had a K&N on a 1 2004 400ex for 4 or 5 years still havent had to rebuild it and another on a 2004 400ex for 2 years now running strong. I never have dirt and what not in the intake boot. I think those that had bad luck just didnt know how to maintain.

yeah those bannana or silk spiders always get me on the trails usually taking the trails that havent been ridden on in quite some time. Had one hit me in the face I ripped off my helmet and threw it and started running around slapping my face and head if it was on me. Freaked me out but I know they dont hurt anything, I just hate spiders I dont care how big or small they are i'm just not a fan. Oh the times I wish i had a video camera someone recording me for everything. The crashes and moments like that I could make one hilarious video. I flipped my 2 week old quad doing something stupid, tried to jump up a cliff with it litterally a rock wall straight up and not so smooth. Dumb idea there had to be a reason why nobody would hit it and gave me the your crazy look when i'm lining up for it. Worked out 4 times... Then I had to go to the bathroom as soon as I suited up and got on the quad 1st thing in the morning. So I figured I would just boost across the pit and go piss in the woods over there. Its always a bad idea to fly into whoops without having crossed them before. Turns out there was a small berm made by dirtbikes ride near the end. Right before it was a big arse whoop so the front dipped right into this berm and end over end front flipped. I only remember holding on for my dear life and thinking oh sh*t theres not way i'm making it through this one and then laying on the ground opening my eyes seeing my quad come back down from a flip. Not even a minute into riding and i'm laying on the ground. Ruined the day pretty much I layed on the trailer for a couple hours because my back hurt a rediculous amount. Then I decided I cant let this ruin my day so I attempted to ride to the back of Croom, ended up taking the road back it hurt even going down the road.

I moved to a wedge shaped box that would fit 1 speaker behind the stut facing the rear end of the car angles up some. Then I said screw that if I ever need to put something in the back and need the seats folded down to put it I cant because the speaker box will be in the way. Now i'm just going to slap together some boxes and all it a day. They will be in the trunk corners facing the front of the seats. If I dont like the way it sounds or I think its too much i'll change the location or just use 1 sub. After all its not a show car its for function. If I wanted it a show car I would get custom boxes and everything but I just want a good sounding stereo and parts that are more fuction than show. After all any sub has to be better than none right?

the bigger the box the better its gonna sound and you should maybe port the box to and i think your back seat folds down right? if so fold it down and it will sound better
nah not true. Ported boxes need about twice the space and they have a harder hit but loose sound quality. Sealed boxes have tighter bass and the best sound quality and require less space. I wouldnt fold the back seats down. I dont do the whole pounding bass and rattling thing this is for the full spectrum of sound that the other speakers cannot hit that low.

what are you putting them in? a car truck or suv? they are going in a 96 civic coupe. I already have a box but it would have sit infront of the race stut and would take up so much more space. I want to separate them 1 on each side how trunks have a pocket where the rear lights are I figured I would utilize that space. I am having trouble making them flow with the trunk and have atleast 1 cubic foot of volume. I wish I had 10's rather than 12's.

It will be for a 12" Kicker CVR sub. I am building separate boxes for each. It will be a sealed box. These are my main concern questions, if anyone knows some info that would be great, thanks.
-What is the recommended volume?
-Is it okay to have many angles in the box or will it not work as good if it were flat edges?
-Can the subwoofers face eachother or will the force that each create distort one another?
-Is it better to have the speakers facing the rear seats or the rear end of the car?

Kevin Harvick with the win that surprised me a little but Stewart getting top 3 is good with me! I cant wait until the 500. Last year I was in Daytona for the Arca and Bud Shootout race. Hopefully next year I will buy some tickets for the family for the 500. I know my parents have always wanted to go since they were younger and they still havent gone.

Ahh so nice to watch it again. The Arca race was nuts 43 start and 10 finish, really bad accidents. Budweiser shootout is going good so far. Go Stewart-Haas Racing!

Amen, Cracker Power............. some people take being called a cracker offensive but they are respecting us and knowing their position because we are the whip crackers.

which is why you should "vote for me, i'll make your wildest dreams come true" lol Why is black history in February? because its the shortest month. I would get rid of it and either create a WET or get rid of BET. It will now be illegal to drive under the speed limit and quads and trikes will now be street legal. if only if only haha

Interesting answers for sure. Thanks to those that filled some out I need all of the information I can get. This was for a commerical product, ATV graphics, and I need research to make demographs and such to see what the consumer wants. I cant say that nobody wants graphics on their quad I wanted to show the relationship between age or experience and what that generation is most fond of the old school look or modern.
