Congrats on the success bro! Things are rolling for me. Moving up within my company and work is doing really well for me too! Dogs are doing well, we won 3 national titles last year and I currently own the fastest jack russell terrier in the US. Horses are keeping me busy as well, just trying to win some money here and there! Can you stick me in your suitcase when you head over to Hawaii?

Quad you still got a sense of humor! I sold my last four wheeler probably 3 years ago and moved onto 10 with a bigger house about 2 years ago. Trying to move up in the world. I just train the dogs to race and then they do all the work. Those were some awesome times at saltsdale! Miss riding with everyone! Do you ever see Lupo, Frank, Chillinthemost, Shawn or any of them?

I haven't been on this forum in years, but Jerry Corne just called and gave me the sad news. Like so many have said Ronnie was awesome to be around and I will never forget the memories of drag racing with him. GET IT RAG will forever live in with awesome memories of Ronnie. Very sad news to hear. I don't have a 4 wheeler anymore, but I am going to attend the favorite riding spot if I don't have plans that weekend.

General / Open Discussion / Re: What Rifle Would You Buy?

I would agree with what Anoriginal has said, BUT would like to add a question to it. What type of area are you going to be hunting in? Open areas or heavily wooded areas? That would be the deciding factor for me. We also own all of the above mentioned caliber rifles and all are perfect for each specific type of hunting. If I were going to open fields or open hard woods such as in Alabama, I would use the .270, just choose wisely on the ammo. We use a ballistic round in our .270`s which gives you the flat trajectory and Knock down power. Now if you were going to more heavily woode areas, probaly choose something from the 30 caliber family. The -06 can blow through small twigs with out as much trouble of deflection versus the .270. Just something to think before you buy. I would try to take Anoriginal up on his offer before you buy, He is an great guy who can help you if you listen.
You and troy will get a kick out of this. I can John Wayne any gun out there. Remember that day? Back on topic here. I have shot a 30-06 pump for the past 5 years dear hunting and love it. I am also a major explorer. One that gets out of the tree stand and walks for 3 or 4 hours exploring new territory looking for signs. I don't know much about guns and their weight, but the only complaint I have about my 30-06 is it can get heavy as the day goes on. If you walk alot and hunt deep in the woods like I do, I would consider weight as a major factor in buying a gun. Then again, I have an office job, so I don't walk alot, that could contribute to it too. Anoriginal is right about the scope. Had a cheap tasco on it, and after it fogging up a few times I ditched it. I would suggest spending the money on a good scope. Nothing like having a nice deer scoped out and the scope fog up. Can lead to a frustrating hunt.

modern day medicine has alot to do with the high price of health insurance. somebody has to pay for all the research and development on new technology to keep us alive longer. I don't appreciate modern medicine now, but maybe one day I will.
I appreciate percocet, vicodin, Soma and Flexoral. Now that is funny.

Very emotional. Sand trap would not of helped that accident. The net they have at some tracks might of helped, but that was a wicked accident. Very sad, but it was a great tribute to Scott. Robert Hight and all the NHRA guys were FIRST CLASS last night. Really shows you how much of a family they all are. God be with all the family and friends.

All fuels will be using a blend of ethanol. The government regulated a chemical in fuel starting feb. 2008, that is the main reason you are seeing the ethanol as the substitute. Yeah, ethanol does suck. Sooner or later the government will find out that they are screwing the country up from the inside out. I could careless if another carabu mates or not. Time to send some wells in Alaska.

Talked to Stevie yesterday for about an hour. Doing good for everything he has been through. He is in a wheel chair, walker sometimes. He is going to therapy 3 times a week and hopes to be on his feet in about 6 months. He is a miracle I will tell you that. Will be going to see him in a few weeks.

Well the dog did his job we just ran into a string of bad luck on saturday. It is a TV promotion, so no matter what happens in the race, they won't rerun a race, they just advance the 3 dogs that go through the hole. Well everything was rolling along good, Goose came out the box on fire, pulled away from the field and the freaking lure hung out just to the side of the hole, and Goose went after the lure (like he is trained to do) and the other dogs went through the hole. We would of definetly been 1st or 2nd, because we were one of the fastest dogs out there, but we had a monkey on our back yesterday. You will get to see it on TV. I am telling ya, I got a 13 month old male dog, that is one of the fastest jack russell terriers in the country. He is bad to the bone. He is going to get a few weeks off and then we are going to get him tuned up for our clubs national competition in Maryland in October. Keep ya eyes open, because this dog will be the man next time around.

Hey smoke, What kind of saddle do you use on your dog? I'm guessing you don't ride him bareback? Good luck this weekend. it's one of those minature horse saddles. takes him a while to get going, since I got married and increased my weight to 170 lbs. Never thought I would see 170 lbs, but my wife knows how to cook and I have learned how to eat. We are going to try to get r dun, and I will let everyone know how Goose does.

Most of you know me from drag racing banshee's, but when I got out of that, I got into racing Jack Russells. Yeah as odd as it may seem, it happens, and it is awesome. Well make a long story short, I have been invited to the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge that is being held at the Central Florida Fair this saturday, April 26th. They are having dock diving, agility, 60 ft. weave poll and jack russell racing. I have a 13 month old dog that has been winning puppy championships all over the southeast that I am taking over there. I have two littermate brothers from the 2 time defending national racing champion, and they are called Maverick and Goose. Goose is the only one racing on saturday, so if you come keep your eye out for him. Hey Don and Troy, I will give you guys a call later, just been freaking crazy this month. 2 dog trials, 5 exams, and pulling straight A's, so life has been busy.
