1  General / Where to Ride? / Re: questions about camping croom on: January 07, 2009, 07:26:05 PM
Still lock your stuff up, but is MUCH better since the swat team took the crew out back in Nov that were the ones stealing bikes over the past few years.......I am not big on COPS, but I have to give Dave, John and Croom crew props for recognizing the BMW that was the "scout" car and setting up the big bust that night.....These guys pissed all over themselves (really) when the helicoptors flew down on them as they were crossing the spike strips at the gate....HEHEHEHEHE

Keep the beer and booz bottles out of site too.....drinking is tolerated if NOT out in the open and you don't "act" drunk.
2  General / Open Discussion / Re: Bike thieves busted @ Croom on: November 30, 2008, 04:22:58 PM
Sweet....we were there last year when a guy was caught and cased to the front gate....he just crashed right through it.  I am glad they are going to lock it in the future.  As long as the people that are inside get the combo to the lock.  That being said, they need to change the combo regularly to keep them from learning the combo and helping themselves.
3  General / Open Discussion / Re: WHY IS OBAMA WINNING IN THE POLLS????? on: October 11, 2008, 04:00:39 PM
I PERSONALLY CAN NOT STAND LIBERAL DEMS. WHY IS HE WINNING IN THE POLLS IF EVERYONE I TALK TO AND EVERYTHING I HEAR IS THAT HE HAS NO CHANCE, ASSOCIATED WITH TERRORISTS, ACORN GROUP, REVERAND WRIGHT, MUSLIM RADICALS, CRIMINALS (CHICAGO POLITICS), AND ALL THE OTHER CRAP..

DO NOT FORGET NO HISTORY ON THE SENATE FLOOR OR ANYWHERE ELSE.

WHO AND WHERE ARE THESE VOTERS THAT ARE PULLING FOR HIM?

SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THIS TOO ME.

I will explain it in simpleton terms.....We want something different than what we have had for the last 8 years.  Why is that so hard to see?  Or do you want the rich to keep on getting richer at the expense of the people that are loosing their retirements, homes and other investments to the "good ol' boy politics" in place now?
4  General / Open Discussion / Re: Breaking NEWS-Palin abused power of her office on: October 11, 2008, 03:57:36 PM
They are only the party of religion when it benefits THEM (for you idiots.....in other words...when they use the religious for votes by catering to their faith).

Too obvious for the intelligent.

5  General / Open Discussion / Re: A must read for all gun owners on: October 11, 2008, 03:55:12 PM
Don't believe any of this crap... the Constitution gives us the right to have guns.  Do you really think an amendment banning them would pass in our  country.....I don't think so.  There are too many of us that vote that will say otherwise.

Vote for what you believe but Bush has done more to take away our rights than any other person/president in history.

6  General / Open Discussion / Re: McCain a communist sympathizer? on: October 11, 2008, 03:49:37 PM
Here are my thoughts for the long post above about Muslim Men.....

We as americans have to REALLY WANT CHANGE and believe that JM and SP will be more of big business and the rich getting richer at our expense, to vote this way.

I am voting for CHANGE.  Not the man, the party or any promises made by him... only something different from the way it has been over the last 8 years......

I will take my chances with someone that is opposite what we have.
7  General / Open Discussion / Re: Why wont the media report the truth.... on: October 11, 2008, 03:24:31 PM
Yes sir, one choice is to keep spending $10B per month in Iraq or not.

And the other choice is to set a target date to pull our troops and leave us vulnerable to numerous terrorists attacks.

Cableguy1.....don't buy the crap our government and media feed us.  Both use fear and scare tactics to get you buy into their BS.  You know, if we would just invest in local security and beef up our own border security with the troops we have over there, do you really think that kind of attack will happen again?  I don't think so!!! But what do I know? I came here looking to get away from the politics and talk ridin.....
8  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: Motorsports of Tampa (parts) & Barneys on: September 29, 2008, 06:34:47 PM
My answer to you is the internet.  EVERY TIME I go to a dealer to get a part that should be a "stock" item they say "we can order it".  My answer is "so can I".  You can order anything you need from a multitude of parts retailers online. Stock parts, aftermarket parts.  And eliminate the dealers all together.

A simple bolt, I wanted to buy at the Honda shop was $6.25....I would of had to prepay it and come back to the shop to pick it up.  I went to Ace Hardware and bought the same bolt for .55.

Servicehonda.com has just about anything stock you need at a discounted rate and it comes right to your door.  (NO I am not affiliated with them).
9  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: Don't buy from (NO) Fun Bike Center Lakeland, Florida on: September 29, 2008, 06:27:16 PM
I don't take my bike/ATV to ANY dealer. They all employ idiots and work on a production line mentality.  Too many people working on it and things get forgotten.

Everyone, do yourself a favor.  After you buy a bike/ATV, find a good mechanic that works on them other than a dealer.  You might pay more, you might save a little, but either way these guys CARE about  your satisfaction because that is their livelyhood and word of mouth advertising is much better than a million dollar motor home or a big billboard.

You can find a good one at the tracks. Ask around. People will tell you the "good, the bad and the ugly".

11  General / Open Discussion / Re: getting a FL title on: February 02, 2008, 03:36:25 PM
Thanks to a memeber, he got me the name and address of the last tilted owner. Now I can write them a letter and see if they would happen to still have the title or sign a letter stating the title is lost and they are selling it to me.

I am sure he wants to remain un-named, but thanks a lot.

You are right Mr. Bones. My bike is a 05 and they can't do newer ones.  I don't really need a title for what I do.....ride at Croom etc, I can get a sticker for it.  And it is just a trail bike, probably will not sell  it and if I did, a lot of times you get more parting the bike out on ebay.

12  General / Racing Scene / Re: New track coming to Tampa, Fl area on: January 30, 2008, 06:30:11 PM
is it going to be a lighted track?  Anyone know what hours they are going to be open?
13  General / Open Discussion / getting a FL title on: January 30, 2008, 06:20:21 PM
I bought a motorcycle with no title. I used the link on this site, checked the vin number to make sure it wasn't stolen, got a bill of sale from the seller and now want to title it my name.

I was told at the tag agency (that place is full of idiots) that I would have to get the court to issue an order to allow them to title it. I called the CoCC and they were even less of a help telling me to consult an attorney or visit a law library to obtain directions or documents to do this.

This bike has a previous FL title but due to privacy acts, I only can get the title number, no owners name or address. I bought if from someone who bought it from someone who did not have the title......

Anyone with any ideas?

IT never really closes except from dusk to dawn. At 5 the rangers leave the gate station but the park stays open.

Don't think you will not get caught riding without a sticker just because no one is at the gate. One of the rangers lives on the property and rides around on a quad.
15  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Morons at CROOM! WHY? on: June 24, 2007, 05:17:24 PM
Well, probably not a popular opinion, but Croom is great!!! The old Park "hag" Manager left back in the beginning of the year and since then the place is starting to get some much needed TLC. Don't Dis the Park Rangers, they can only do so much and maintain what the HAVE To do.

For the most part, if you see someone doing something really stupid that endangers others, if you let them know they will do something about it.

They have been grooming trails a lot lately (not going to say where because I don't want them to get all whooped out again) and they are sprucing up the campground in a week or so.

I have two bikes and one quad. I don't care who rides what and I think it is the attitude of the rider, not what he rides that makes the difference.

My PET PEAVE: Quads (or motorcycles) doing donuts in the pit, main road, parking lot or campground just going round and round and round..........most of the time it is so dusty out there you make it where you can taste the dirt for days, and you idiots that think donuts are cool are the ones that suck.........my opinion.......
16  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: UM Racing products? on: June 20, 2007, 12:35:46 AM
I bought the pro nerf bars. They seem to be high quality and good instructions of fitting it to the quad. I like the integrated foot pegs and heal guard with them. I just wish they would thread the damn netting for ya. I recommend the products. I would like to buy a bumper and some skid plates from them too.

How did he get hurt? I was there and saw the helicopter come in, but no one knew what happened. He doesn't race does he?

I hate to see anyone get hurt, especially good people.

I agree 100% with Loven It. To each his own.........would I do it? No!!!  Should he be fired for it? No. Everyone should be able to make their own choices.
19  General / Tech Corner / Honda 400EX with a "white" spark plug tip on: May 22, 2007, 01:08:40 PM
Here is my problem. I am getting a very white tip on my spark plug. What can cause this? I read where it is "lean" or " running hot". Anyone got a suggestion that I can try? I don't want to go turning screws or anything unless I know what the problem is (or isn't).

I did read it and agree. they are all like that.  it was not "Barneys" specific so I didn't post it in that thread.

25  General / Product and Services Reviews / Re: STAY AWAY FROM extrememotorsales.com!! Cheats, Liars, and thieves!! on: March 05, 2007, 09:36:54 AM
Although they do have some cool sound effects on their site, just look at the stuff. Anyone with any knowledge of off road bikes/ATV's should have enough since to stay away from this stuff. Stick to the name brands..............with anything you buy.
