Was out in that general area on Saturday and then on Sunday this huge fire starts. I hope they don't shut down that area. It's an awesome area to ride. I heard the local Miami news tonight and they said that it could have been someone who threw a cigarette out the window or an ATV'er. I am sure we will get the ultimate blame.

The ride was awesome. We went in at 137th and 8th street and ended up at NW 41 street and 140 ave. Then we came back. When you go in at 137th and 8th you need to stay inside the trees and stay off the road that runs parallel to 8th street because people can see you if you ride the street parallel to 8th street. I also discoverd that people are riding at the end of NW 41st. There is a lot of parking there and the trails were pretty awesome. I am not 100% sure how to get there but i think you just head down NW 41street until the end. You can try putting 13850 NW 41 street in your car gps(which i think is the addresss of the jail that's out there) and then go past the jail untill the end. either place you choose is pretty good.

I use to ride at bird and 157 all the time several years ago and had not been back until 1 month ago. Was still okay to ride (although it changed a bit). I always go in from SW 8th street. I have been there about 15-20 times and NEVER had a problem.

Thank you for this comment. I myself have 3 sons, two of them are this close in age and could not even imagine how I would feel if anything like this ever happened in our family. My deep and sincere sympathy goes out to this family!

General / Open Discussion / 8th & 157 has a lot of mud!

Was out at 8th and 157 today and saw at least 3 guys get stuck in their trucks (normal 4 x 4 trucks) Some of you guys drive in with your trucks and trailers thru the 157th entrance. BE CAREFUL!
All the rain has caused a real bad spot on this road and you might very easily get stuck. You can still go but you might want to check out the road 1st before you venture on in. Just a word of caution!
Felt real bad for some guys who were stuck there for a long while today.

Please help ! What can anyone tell me about E-ton quads.
I am looking for an inexpensive small utility type quad for my 15 year old. I found a 2005 E-ton Yukon II CXL-150 with under 50 hours. Appears to be in very good shape. Anybody know much about E-ton quads. Appreciate any advice/help I can get. Thanks!

I was looking for a cover for my Can-Am Outlander Max and was having a hard time because these things are so long (93 inches long). I found an awesome cover for an awesome price, $29.99 from a company I found on the web. Just got my cover and the quality and fit is excellent. If anyone needs a cover, I recommend this company. You really can't beat the price for this quality. Just my opinion and just trying to help. I don't work for them; I am just a satisfied customer. Below is their website. http://www.sunmartintl.com/

General / Open Discussion / Re: All Atv owners should read! Important Atv insurance info!

Sorry guys, forgot to mention. Sport ATV's are going to be more expensive to insure. They figure that utility atv's are used for trail riding and sport ATV's are used for hotdogging (what else would you use them for?)
Type of bike, age of rider, how many and age of riders, previous accidents, etc... All these things will factor into the price. I do remember when I was getting my quote that Progressive did cover some of the upgrades (I think it was 1,000 worth)
I saw that someone posted that they would only give you NADA value. In my book, that's better than nothing! The point is, if the coverage is reasonable, spend the extra $ and insure it!

****5-7-07 UPDATE, JUST GOT MY BILL FROM STATE FARM, IT SEEMS THEY MADE A MISTAKE, MY PREMIUM IS NOT $99.00, IT'S ACTUALLY $348.00, HOWEVER, MY ORIGINAL ADVISE REMAINS THE SAME, INSURE YOUR BIKES!**
Hello all, ****READ MY ADDITIONAL POST, (SEVERAL POSTS DOWN) ABOUT SPORT QUADS****
Just thought I would share some important info. I just bought a new Can-Am outlander Max, a $9,000.00 ATV. Any idea how much it cost me to insure it with full coverage?
Only $99.00 a year with my local state farm agent! If you own an atv, you really should consider getting insurance! I was quoted 325.00 from Geico and Progressive (you can get a quote online). But I currently have state farm and only paid $99.00 with them.
This coverage include a $250.00 deductible if lost, stolen, damaged, vandalized, etc.. (EVEN HURRICANE DAMAGE) and $20,000 if you hit someone and $25,000 for property damage. The point is that many of you may not realize how inexpensive it is to insure your expensive atv's. Think about how much are expensive toys cost and then think about what a small price to pay for this valuable coverage and peace of mind.
That's it, that's my 2 cents. I am not an insurance salesmen, I just thought all of you should be informed.
Have fun, stay safe.

General / Where to Ride? / Re: ONF 2 up riding

Was up at ONF 3 or 4 weeks ago, saw some people riding 2 up, (some even 3 up including small kid). Don't know if they got tickets or not. I think it all depends on whether or not you get stopped. I don't know if I would chance it. I just bought a legal 2 up machine so that I would not have any problems. Post back if you tried it and got away with it.
Be safe, have fun...
