1  General / Open Discussion / Re: how much $ in mods to your quads on: November 10, 2006, 01:49:08 PM
OK an ademdum needs to be made to this post/poll.  After admitting to investing several thousands of dollars we need to poll people as to their annual income. I'm just curious to see if people are spending all their money on their quads, or if everyone here makes $100 k and up.

the reason for this poll is I am working on a buisness plan ,to start an aftermarket bolt on accessory manufacturing company for the orv industry.Part of the major hurdle is getting financing for the equipment neccesary to start such a buisness .I have to show there is a good market for the buisness to sustain itself with before a lender will even think about it.My vision is to raise the quality standard of parts that are available and bring the manufacturing back to the U.S.A were it belongs I dont know about you but I look at the quality of parts I have recieved and been disapointed many times.I would also like any suggestions of parts you would like to see made that are not available at this time or are of poor quality.one project I am already working on is a electric start kit for the trx90's.

I for one applaud your goal. I think it's great that someone wants to provide a superior quality product. But in my opinion that's not the only hundle. It appears that some riders buy products for the name brand as much as for the performance. Thus the success of some companies that haven't stepped up the quality of their stuff that are still doing well. So not only do you need to secure teh money for the equipment, but also get your name out there so it's not in vain. You need to make sure your stuff is better than the other guys' but it could be slow going until your name brand is out and recognized as good, desirable stuff. I think someone with your goals can definitely do well as long as you're building a better mouse trap and not trying to break everyone's bank with huge profit margins on every item. Best of luck.

If we can't make the meeting we'll just make our own!

Instead of fighting within the system lets do what all the other minorities do..lets riot and protest!

we can have a atv pride day or the million quad ride and just head down the streets. We'll just pull a permit for assembly and go. Then we'll cry discrimination if anyone balks at us  Cool

Everyone gets what they want, lets try whining too.

I'm so glad we have another Republcan in office ! Even if the Dems screw up the house and senate and stall any and all progress for the next couple years, at least we have someone in office to fight the crazy left agenda. No to gay marriage, No to partial birth abortions, Yes to Charlie Christ  Grin

Dreth - Hey we all know you are a proponent of Elka -have you ridden Custom Axis to compare them to? Just wondering if there's a major difference between the two, and what pros and cons might be.
Also do you have the elite series with the high and low speed comp on yours ?
8  General / Open Discussion / Fox Float Evols shocks on: November 05, 2006, 04:46:36 PM
Anyone have these? I'm really thinking about getting some for my Pred. I've already gotten a price from ATP, but found them a little cheaper elsewhere. Anyone know a good place to get a deal on them ? and I'd appreciate any feedback on the shocks themselves from people that have ridden with them.
My second choice is Custom Axis so I'd also appreciate info on those. Especially if someone has ride time on both for comparison.

Thanks
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: Handle Bars? on: November 04, 2006, 08:51:11 PM
Tag and Trail Tech both offer great bars with a cool dash to mount your key switch and lights. goldenwestcycle has some good deals on the Tag and trailtech.net for the Trail Techs. They both offer kits with dash/fat clamp and bars. The cool thing about the Trail Techs is if you do mainly trial riding they also offer a dash with a mount for their computer. That offers hour meter, speedo, etc.
Any of the brand you mentioned are nice bars. Mainly looks if you don't want the computer or dash to mount all your lights.
