I had a boat longer than you been around.... Why so defense Gato you know for a fact that what I post is true.

I remember fishing in the bay and catching big 18" snappers, long gone from over fishing. Wish I can share those moments with my son, but maybe he can with his son.
Big sorry I snapped but it is messed up the crap going on I have had boats since I was a kid in the 70s with my dad, and have not been without a boat longer than 6-7 mths ever since so boating has been a part of my whole life. I saw the pwc crap go down I was in it too got rid of that with all restrictions like all a few bad messing it up for all got rid of that, I dont even ride anymore with all the crap promised so I just come on here evn thou just to let you guys know. But on your comment you have longer than I been around dont make yourself that old you still in your prime  lol tried to scan a pic of me as a kid about 4 with our boat in background but scanner not work lol

anchoring any where in Biscayne park will be an issue also i bet. You probably dont own a boat that is pretty clear in your response but thanks for your input  it will be just as with atv's if we dont try to stop it.

Hello All!

I wanted to let you know that the National Park Service ("NPS") is at it again!  They are trying to restrict Biscayne National Park to boaters and fisherman again.  The new "Plan" they are proposing is 360 pages long and I have not had the opportunity to read it thoroughly, but am attaching a copy for your review.  From what I have read so far, the NPS wants to add "No Take Zones" which means MORE fishing RESTRICTIONS.  The NPS also wants to force boaters to apply for special permits in order to access the park.  Basically, the NPS wants to CHARGE you to take your boat out to the ocean AND they want to be able to control the number of boats that go out to the sandbars and the rest of Biscayne National Park.

There will be public meetings, ALL from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. as follows:

Tuesday September 13, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 950 NW 42 Avenue, Miami, Florida

Wednesday September 14, 2011 at Florida City Hall, 404 W. Palm Drive, Florida City, Florida

Thursday September 15, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Key Largo, 99701 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, Florida

You can mail comments to the following address:

General Management Plan
Biscayne National Park
9700 SW 328th Street
Homestead, Florida 33033-5634.

You can get more information at bisc_planning@nps.gov <mailto:bisc_planning@nps.gov>

You can find the actual "Plan" at http://www.parkplanning.nps.gov/openPlansEachParkDocs.cfm?parkID=353 <http://www.parkplanning.nps.gov/openPlansEachParkDocs.cfm?parkID=353>

THIS IS IMPORTANT!!  IF WE DON'T SAY ANYTHING, THE GOVERNMENT WILL DO WHATEVER IT WANTS AND ASSUME THAT EITHER NO ONE CARES OR NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON.  I WILL BE AT THE MIAMI AND FLORIDA CITY MEETINGS SO FEEL FREE TO JOIN ME IN SHOWING THE GOVERNMENT THAT WE WILL NOT SIT IDLY BY AND LET IT DO WHATEVER IT WANTS!!!!!!

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ANYONE YOU THINK IT MAY AFFECT.

you can only ride on the roads if you are a local zman kjnow what I mean haha I have seen local on the road during a dolphins game when police activity is at the highest levels and dont get chased even run and stop at some lights

remove the air box, you need a 2" rubber coupler and a small piece of 2" pipe then reduce it to 1 1/2" then just take it up down under the cross bar then out the sideand up the side frame bar. Get a package of 5 or 10 pieces of sprinkler 1/4" splicers (black) dont get the brass to expensive and it makes no diff and a roll of the black 1/4 line all 3 of the lines that go over the cross member over the steering shaft vent them up ( if you want leave the radiator 1 down in case of an over heat it WILL splash you) I did the 2 (fan and differental and the radiator I left down but that is up to you) The K&n filter to a honda 400 at 05 fits perfect to the 1 1/2"pipe just put 2 SS screws 1 on each side to hold in place

you need another 2 2" rubber coupler but you will have to cut them a bit to fit good and another small piece of 2" then reduce it to 1 1/2" again, Remove the plastic half moon piece on the belt vent to install the parts. just route the pieces how ever you like out the side or like I did but the way I did them it is freekn hard and time consuming but it is worth in to me I am picky if you go that route you have to cut out a section in the bed just so u know. If you use the abs flex pvc use them under the cut out because if you paint them I dont know why they stay sticky. so I did it over with pvc and that holds paint well.

you need splicers of 3/8 i think it was plus line you need to vent the grey line out of the bottom of the carb and the gas tank and the line that goes into the frame tube on pass side

this was the end result for me with the textured flat blk paint
Filter on the vent not shown
I only lost 1 mph on the top speed but mine is stock and I dont do 40 mph in mud anyways.
I have yet to overheat or shutoff in water but I do take the radiator and the oil radiator apart to wash every ride I hate being the 1 slowing everyone down. Let me know how it goes

Take That... Chevy Boxer haha

Maybe that's why 90% of tow trucks are Fords?
just think of it as fords are the laborers and chevys are the bosses handing out orders haha

21  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: "COLT FORD" in concert L-CROSS MAR.5th-6th EVENT! on: February 28, 2010, 08:58:35 PM
sgtbandit,

NO, the 25 mile trail ride will be Friday afternoon @ 3:00pm and again Saturday Morning @ 10:00 am. You leave the park to do this ride, everyone goes together, it has to be in the daytime. You can play in the mudhole after dark and ride the roads but you have to stay in the park after dark.
how good is the 25 ml ride or better to stay in park first timer asking

to say that the atv crowd is younger and anymore disrespectful is wrong also I have seen plenty of groups were ALL are older middle aged driving with 1 hand with a beer and 1 holding the bars, I agree the issue of the PP but Like someone else said on here it is not the bike it is the driver. If everything was so easy to blame on the younger crowd Lets just add all the road racers lets make the driving age limit to 21 will that help. NO, it is all about catching the perps. in action raise it to $100 or $150 that will keep some out at the same time help with funds to patrol more offen. IMO I have only gone 1 time and do not really know anything out there but I feel for the people with the properties going thru it, But maybe the cameras will help with catching some or at the very least help ID them some how.
25  General / Open Discussion / Re: Idiots Continue To Ruin It For Us on: November 26, 2009, 04:05:24 PM
well looks like that is what needs to be done if they are not patrolling it simply banning atvs is not gonna stop the illegals from riding in. They cry about budget cuts but if they hike the fees they should be able to patrol more offen
