OK. My sanity has returned...
I'm a Deputy here in Broward. I recently lost a brother to a senseless act. Dep. Thetford worked in Tamarac and was a good guy. While working an off-duty detail, he stopped a car and while conducting the stop, he and another deputy were shot. For what? The driver was going to get a ticket. (3) kids lost thier father...
Now you understand.

Ok, now I've lost my mind... This young man (clearly he has to be young) is equating a cop to a bad neighbor. This means, at least to me, that he has had a bad experience with law enforcement. So, one would deduct, that he feels that he equates cops as "bad guys".
OK. Now, maybe I can explain it in terms that maybe even he can understand.
Cop=man (or woman), possibly dad (or mom) at work, risking their lives, to protect others (responding to a domestic call)
Does anyone have a right to KILL a mom/dad/sister/brother (you get the picture)?
Come on, dude, you can't be that dumb.
Now, his argument about losing riding areas. Did that one cop or any cop, single-handedly, "take away riding areas? NO!
Riding areas are taken away because of ignorance and indifference. Dude, grow up.
OK, I think I did lose my mind....

My kid races gokarts on a national level and we do quite a bit of traveling. Our Club clubminimax.com paid and assisted in the design, manufacture and implementation of chest protectors for all junior drivers. For a while, many of the parents resisted the purchase and use of them. A couple of our members bought a bunch and we gave them out. I realize the gear exist already, but our approach to the parents was what Logger was talking about. Approach, befriend, suggest...
Be an ambassador and protect the kids.
Be safe

First time out there today. Not bad. FWC was very helpful and met a lot of cool people. Road our bike to the pump house (10+ miles west) and opened it up. Didn't seemed crowded and enjoyed watching the mud pit show. I'll all take my kid next time for sure. Seem very family oriented.

I need to take the tabe test to get into emt. Has anyone here taken it? Is it hard?
That's a relative question. The TABE is designed to test basic knowledge. A good gauge to know if you'll do good is How well you did in HS? Good luck.
